Pros
- Good location
- Lush atmosphere
- Consistent tastes
- Caters to food restrictions
Cons
- Some areas are without air conditioning
What makes The Ivy stand out to us is their location. Since they are at The Pavilion, diners will have no issues locating their restaurant.
Aside from this, their atmosphere is also commendable. We appreciate how the diners are surrounded by lush greeneries despite being at the centre of the city.
Furthermore, they also serve breakfast, lunch, dinner, and everything in between here. This means that you can drop by any time of the day and they will have something delicious to serve you.
When it comes to the quality of their food, we noted that their regular customers are happy. According to them, you should try their Pollo Con Polenta, which is pan-fried chicken with creamy polenta.
As for those with food restrictions, we are happy to share that they have vegan and vegetarian dishes on their menu. In case you have allergies or specific requests for your dishes, the chef will accommodate you whenever possible.
For those who wish to hold special events, they have various private dining areas for you to choose from. Just book a reservation in advance and someone from their staff will take care of you.
The only downside is that the restaurant can be uncomfortable on hot days. According to some diners, there are areas where air conditioning is not available.

Pros
- Has many branches across the UK
- Focuses on sustainability
- Offers vegan and vegetarian dishes
- Offers regular promotions
Cons
- May not accept cash payment
We like Purezza because they are an established restaurant with loyal customers to back them up. In fact, it’s impressive that they have restaurants all over the country.
Luckily, there is one Purezza branch here in Manchester – at High Street. In fact, Mancunians who are French cuisine fans frequent this place for their delicious dishes.
By far, the most popular dish here is their vegan pizza. On top of being a delight to the tastebuds, we are impressed that this dish is also sustainably-made.
To ensure that the pizza is ethically-made, the chefs here use plant-based cheese and whole grain sourdough. With this, we are not surprised that they have a lot of environmentally conscious diners who come here often.
Apart from their ethical stance, we appreciate that they offer regular promotions. For example, each of their small plates is available at £6.50, but it will only cost you £18 if you order three dishes.
Purezza is also ideal for those who love to eat in groups. Alternately, some guests order three plates just for themselves – because the food is that good!
Another positive thing about them is that they work with local suppliers. If you are looking for a Mancunian twist on French cuisine, then this is the place to be.
Just keep in mind that there are times when they do not accept cash payments here. It would be best to have your cards or digital wallets ready before dropping by.

Pros
- Authentic French cuisine
- Wide range of dishes and drinks
Cons
- Instances where the taste of food was inconsistent
If you are looking for an authentic taste of France, then you should consider 63 Degrees. Impressively, this restaurant is led by none other than Eric Moreau who has roots in Paris.
It’s also interesting to note that its name is derived from the preparation of coffee, which is best done at 63 degrees. Then, this place made its spin by preparing some of its dishes at the same temperature.
When it comes to their dishes, we are happy to share that you will not run out of choices here. They have a wide variety of dishes from ala carte dishes to set menu!
We recommend that you try their Homemade Foie Gras Terrine for £19.80. Many recommend pairing it with a glass of Sauternes for an ultimate experience.
Speaking of alcoholic beverages, they also have an impressive bar here. You can take your pick with their long list of wines, champagnes, and cocktails.
As for those who are not in the mood for alcohol, we appreciate that they also have soft drinks available here. On top of that, there is also tea and coffee.
Unfortunately, there have been instances where the taste of their food was inconsistent. However, the regulars who experienced this shared that the staff were quick to replace their food.

Pros
- Award-winning chef
- Attentive staff members and servers
- Serves high-quality dishes
- Beautiful interiors
Cons
- Long waiting list
People dine at Adam Reid at The French to experience the culinary genius of Adam Reid. He is a well-known chef with many accolades under his belt.
One of Adam Reid’s awards is bagging the 11th spot on The Good Food Guide 2020. Aside from this, he also received a 4AA Rosettes for Culinary Excellence.
With this level of cooking ability, you can expect that there is a high demand for tables here. Along with that, they are also open for four days only.
Keeping this in mind, if you plan to eat here for a special occasion, it would be best to book reservations weeks in advance. Although even then, there is no assurance that a spot would be available for you.
However, once you secure a reservation, we are confident that they will be able to provide a solid dining experience for you. Notably, their staff members and servers are all polite and attentive.
When it comes to their food, you can expect nothing less than an internationally-acclaimed level of cooking. We highly suggest that you try their tasting menu.
To top it off, we are impressed with the beautiful atmosphere of the restaurant with its spacious and luxe interior. As one diner shared, it feels as if every inch of the establishment is picture-perfect.

Pros
- Many branches across the UK
- Accessible location
- Good amenities
- Great for families
- Good for people with food restrictions
Cons
- Limited parking spots during peak hours
- Issues with billing
Côte is another restaurant that has proven itself as a place that can serve authentic French dishes in many areas of the UK – including Manchester.
We like that they are situated at St. Mary’s Street, where their prospective diners will have no issues finding them. It’s also accessible whether you will travel using public transportation or a private vehicle.
Just keep in mind that finding a parking space can be tricky here, especially during peak hours. However, when it comes to other amenities, we are pleased to share that you will have everything you can ask for here.
For example, they have high chairs and baby changing areas available. This makes it perfect for families who are looking for quality time.
We also like that they have outside chairs available for those who want to dine away from the crowd.
When it comes to their food, we are sure that you will find something that you like here. Aside from their famous set menus, they also have vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free choices.
For us, the variety of options makes them a strong option if you have food restrictions. Overall, we are confident that they can provide a good dining service.
However, be sure to check your bill before paying. We are sad to share that there have been instances where they billed their customers incorrectly.
