Cutter & Squidge is a family-run bakery located in the heart of London that offers baked treats with fun and passion. 

What we first noticed about Cutter & Squidge was how they have limited options for afternoon tea hampers. However, despite this, we like that they offer simple hampers that come with your usual scones and cream and posh ones that come with prosecco.

We also like how regardless of your choice, each hamper contains at least 2 snacks–brownies, scones, biscuits or cake–and tea from either a pack or a tin!

However, we found that their Afternoon Tea Picnic Hamper offers the best value for money, as it contained a good variety of products. We were pleased that it not only included your usual afternoon tea essentials, but also a few savoury snacks.

We were happy that the quality of the goods was fairly good, and enjoyed their Herb and Cheese Swirl very much. Their Lemon Drizzle Cake, though, we felt was a bit too sweet for our liking.

We liked that their website was clean and easy to navigate. We also liked how they sectioned their products according to different occasions–from wedding-appropriate gifts to gifts for corporate parties.

Moreover, the online shopping experience was smooth, and we thankfully didn’t run into any kind of technical difficulties whatsoever upon payment.

We considered ourselves lucky that shipping and deliveries were made on time, but have heard many reviews that unfortunately cannot say the same. 

We noted that deliveries are often made later than expected, regardless of whether these deliveries were made to areas closer to London or farther away. 

Still, we appreciate that the package was undamaged upon arrival, and was securely packed. We liked that their packaging was bright, while still providing a clean, minimalist look. 

Overall, we honestly think that although Cutter & Squidge’s deliveries may be a hit or miss, their afternoon tea hampers are still a good gift for either yourself or your loved ones!

Next in our list is the ever-so-popular Whittard of Chelsea. This tea manufacturing establishment founded in the 1800s is one that we think is always a safe option to try!

Because of their popularity, it was no surprise to us that their selection of afternoon tea hampers was pretty extensive. We liked that they had your regular afternoon tea options, while also having coffee and even hot chocolate hampers.

However, we did note that most, if not all, of their hampers contain only drinks and sometimes biscuits and chocolate bars. There were no scones accompanied by clotted creams and jams, or even other sweet treats to go with the tea.

Everything we needed to find on their website was easily found, and we appreciated that they put tags on products that were on sale, or were appropriate for gift-giving. It made the online shopping experience a lot easier for us, which is always a good thing!

However, deliveries from Whittard & Chelsea are also unfortunately a hit or miss, so we would recommend making your purchases in-store instead. 

We were disappointed that our delivery was made much later than what was expected. Although, we were not surprised, considering that it took a while for our package to be dispatched.

Moreover, it was especially tricky to track our order since no tracking number was sent to us neither by mobile nor e-mail.

Still, we were at least glad that the package was secure and nothing arrived damaged. We have always liked the elegance of Whittard & Chelsea’s packaging, and this delivery, despite being delayed, was still beautifully packaged.

Had it not been for its setback in terms of delivery, Whittard & Chelsea would have made a better impact on us. Regardless, their afternoon tea was still a delight to consume.

Next on our list is Piglet’s Pantry, an award-winning bakery that serves handcrafted cakes, pastries, and afternoon teas.

What we like about Piglet’s Pantry is how each afternoon tea hamper comes with a good amount of products. We like that they also have many hampers to choose from, each hamper suited to a specific kind of taste or mood.

Moreover, we are particularly pleased with how they also have pure vegan and vegetarian hampers!

We did note that the hampers available tend to contain the traditional afternoon tea favourites. We saw that there were not many creative or innovative twists to their hampers, which we honestly think is fine–you can never go wrong with the classics!

Their website, although quite pink, was still very clean and easy on the eyes. We appreciate that they included a list of ingredients and allergens in their products, as well as a notice informing customers about the potential delay in their deliveries.

Despite their notice, however, we were pleased that their shipping was prompt, and everything was delivered on time!

Additionally, we found their packaging not only charming due to the plethora of pink, but it also was secure! While we did think that the box was a little more compact than what we expected, everything was arranged properly and arrived in perfect condition.

Ultimately, we find that Piglet’s Pantry is surely an afternoon tea delivery service that is well worth your money. We think that this bundle of goods along with prompt delivery and pretty packaging will make for a cute afternoon tea experience!

Devon Heaven is a little hamper store that has been around since 2015, delivering afternoon tea hampers with products locally produced from the County of Devon.

We were pleased that they had a wide variety of hampers available on their website. From afternoon tea hampers that contain a simple set of scones, cream, and jam to more luxurious options with truffles and wine, Devon Heaven seems to have it all.

To add to this, they also have both vegan and gluten-free hampers for those with dietary restrictions!

Upon checking their website, we did notice that it seemed a little too simple in terms of aesthetics. Even though this was the case, all the necessary information regarding their products, ingredients, promos, and deliveries were easily accessible.

Speaking of deliveries, did we mention that their shipping is free during the weekdays – and they do same day deliveries for orders placed before midday? 

If we couldn’t avail of the same day delivery, we at least had to try the free shipping. True to their word, we very much enjoyed the free shipping, as well as the on-time arrival of our hamper!

We appreciated that our order was packed in a sturdy but eco-friendly box; our package was safe, and all products remained intact despite the journey from Devonshire to Manchester.

The packaging itself was designed with what seemed to be a lovely farm in Devonshire. We were charmed by the packaging’s simple yet cottage-core feel that made us even more excited to try their products!

Ultimately, we believe Devon Heaven’s afternoon tea delivery is a service that deserves all the love and attention that they get. 

Betty’s is one among the many long-lasting popular establishments that have been serving afternoon teas and other sweet treats since 1919. 

We were delighted to see the varieties of hampers fitting for almost every and any kind of celebration. Whether it be a seasonal hamper or a simple Thank You hamper, we appreciate that Betty’s has a hamper ready and waiting to be purchased.

Additionally, we noted that their hampers all contain a good selection of products no matter which one you choose. However, we did feel as though the products were a little smaller than what we imagined, but high quality nonetheless.

While checking their website, we also liked that they have vegan and vegetarian options. However, there is, unfortunately, a lack of gluten-free hampers, but we did see that gluten-free products can be bought separately.

Given the brand’s popularity, we did expect that their website was pretty sophisticated and on point with its aesthetic. We found that hampers and other products could easily be found, and delighted that we didn’t run into any problems when ordering.

In line with this, we also expected that shipping and delivery would also be top tier. We were disappointed to see that their delivery was also tardy–just about a day late.

Moreover, it seems as though late deliveries are a frequent occurrence with this establishment.

Despite this, we were thankful that none of the goods in our hamper were destroyed in transit, and arrived securely and in good condition. 

We at least found Betty’s packaging elegant, pretty, not to mention festive! We found it charming that their hamper packaging makes gift-giving a lot easier.

All in all, we thought Betty’s hampers were still rich in taste and quality, but certainly lacking in the shipping area. While we think Betty’s is still a good option for afternoon tea deliveries, you might want to order earlier to get your items on time.

Sicilian NQ is a neighbourhood bistro & bar that serves traditional Sicilian food, drinks and more.

They’re famous for their arancini and their wide range of Sicilian treats and desserts, and authentic Sicilian streetfood.

What we like about them is that they have a variety of vegetarian and vegan options on their menu.

What’s more is they have various gift boxes and hampers of their pastries, desserts, and more. We think they’ll definitely be fit for your tea party!

Other than their hampers and collections, they offer a gift voucher for an afternoon tea experience for two people.

The taste of their food will transport you to Sicily, which we think would be perfect for your afternoon tea!

However, others do find their menu to be a little overpriced.

The Bus Stop Cafe is a charming cafe located in Urmston, owned by local twins Andy and Chris.

What made us like them is that the Afternoon Tea Delivery service they offer are all freshly prepared, maintaining the quality and taste of the food. With attention to detail and careful craftsmanship, customers can expect a delightful selection of treats delivered right to their doorstep.

Another reason is that Andy and Chris prioritize customer satisfaction and aim to create a warm and welcoming environment for each visitor. This personalized approach allows them to meet individual preferences and dietary requirements, ensuring a tailored experience for each customer.

Unlike others, the cafe operates a pre-order system for their Afternoon Tea Delivery service, allowing customers to plan ahead and secure their desired date and time slot. This helps in managing resources efficiently and ensures a smooth and timely delivery process.

The Bus Stop Cafe requires a 48-hour notice period for Afternoon Tea Delivery orders, which may not be ideal for customers seeking last-minute arrangements. Additionally, the availability of the Afternoon Tea Delivery service may be limited, depending on the cafe’s operating hours and capacity.
