Excellent block paving transformation

I could not be so happy with the outcome of my little yard. It was covered in over filled concrete and looking just awful.  I contacted Tony Daly Surfacing, and didn’t feel it necessary to look elsewhere.  Tony helped to make the decision on final finish of the block paving. It has a slight incline but that helps the grand kids go faster on their bikes from one end to the other 🤣.

The work was completed in 3 1/2 days and absolutely looks fabulous. Thank you 👍

Highly recommended professional paving service

Can highly recommend Daly Surfacing. Tony and the team have done a great job for us transforming our back garden by taking up and removing the old timber decking and concrete flags and replacing with Indian sandstone paving. They worked hard, and despite the difficult weather and ground conditions they stuck to it and completed the job on time. We are really pleased with the finished result. Would definitely use them again.

2. Technic Floors

Technic Floors manages the entire turnkey process in-house, handling everything from early pre-construction planning right down to the final laser screed finish. They’re capable of handling large sites, like major commercial developments.

They rely on computer-controlled screeds and in-house steel fixing for large industrial slabs. With this technology and process, they can hit strict structural tolerances effortlessly.

Plus, their highly controlled sawcutting method is incredibly precise. This specific technique effectively stops random cracks from forming across massive commercial surfaces over time.

To boot, they run rigorous British Standards testing on their concrete cubes to confirm compressive strength before signing off on any floor.

The main downside is their heavy industrial bias, making them unsuitable for small domestic pathways or residential patios.

Pros

  • Entire turn-key process in-house
  • Uses computer-controlled screeds
  • Controlled sawcutting method
  • Rigorous testing on concrete cubes

Cons

  • Unsuitable for small domestic residential jobs

Operating under strict Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) guidelines, Everitt Construction brings two decades of groundwork experience in residential and commercial properties in the North West.

Director Liam Everitt leads the team, ensuring they deliver both heavy commercial flooring and intricate architectural concrete on tight turnaround schedules.

They prioritise a highly collaborative approach. They work seamlessly alongside external architects and project managers to avoid costly site miscommunications.

Clients will love how transparent they really are about project timelines and budgets from day one.

One drawback is their reliance on independent structural engineers, so you’ll have to hire outside design professionals before they start pouring. Their strong focus on one key director also means executive oversight could stretch thin on busy weeks.

Pros

  • Dedicated North West coverage
  • Full residential and commercial scope
  • SMSTS-approved site safety
  • Fast commercial turnaround times

Cons

  • Requires independent structural engineers
  • Relies on one key director

Concrete Flooring Solutions is recognised by the Association of Concrete Industrial Flooring Contractors (ACIFC), highlighting their undeniable expertise across the country.

What caught our eye was how every layout perfectly matches The Concrete Society’s Technical Report 34, serving as the benchmark standard for industrial floors.

Service-wise, they supply composite metal decking that slots into place on-site. This cuts labour time significantly whilst keeping project costs low.

The crew applies rapid-curing synthetic resins and scratch-resistant epoxy coatings, minimising operational downtime for active commercial spaces.

However, their main operational base sits down in the South of England, so travel distances could easily delay swift mobilisation to Greater Manchester.

Pros

  • Recognised by the ACIFC
  • Follows Technical Report 34 standards
  • Reduces on-site labour requirements
  • Uses rapid-curing synthetic resins

Cons

  • Operations based in southern England
