There’s no larking about when it comes to body treatments at Buddha Beauty & Holistic. They started off with skincare, then expanded to a spa that offers vegan beauty and holistic services, making sure wellness services are done with compassion.

They offer loads of treatments, from face to body, making them a one-stop shop for relaxation and hydration. And when it comes to body wraps, they offer them as part of a package, which is nice for all-around exfoliation and hydration.

However, their availability isn’t their strongest suit, since they mostly have no slots for body wraps on Sundays.

Nonetheless, their practitioners know their stuff. Based on our experience, they had light hands but added the proper pressure when needed, and they managed to evenly apply the mud mask.

When you consider the price, they’re a wise choice for body wraps in Manchester. They’re not expensive, but a good value for money, given that you receive several treatments in one session.

Pros

  • Vegan-friendly service
  • Offers loads of spa treatments
  • Reasonably priced
  • Good value for money

Cons

  • Limited availability on weekends

Relaxing the minute you step through the doors

“I have been coming to this salon for years and every time just gets better! So relaxing from the minute you step through the doors, no matter if you’re having a massage, facial or just your nails done. The best salon in Manchester for sure!”

Caitlin Galvin, Google Review

Put me completely at ease

“I had the full package of body scrub, wrap and massage – what a treat! Karolina is an experienced masseuse which was evident as she found all the knots of tension in my back! She also put me completely at ease. Highly recommended. Thank you 🙂”

The Spa at The Edwardian Manchester is a top-notch getaway in the city, where you’ll be treated in a gorgeous hotel. It’s anything but dull, as it’s equipped with all the wellness facilities you’ll need, like a sauna and jacuzzi.

For the body wrap service, expect a full-on relaxation for 90 minutes. They offer the Classic Hungarian Mud Wrap, which will detoxify, exfoliate, and refresh your body.

But there’s a catch: spa treatments here are bloody expensive because the body wrap alone will cost you £200! If you’re willing to splurge, you get a luxurious experience anyway.

Your body wrap treatment at this Manchester hotel brilliantly gives you one hour access to the facilities, like the steam room. It’s flexible as well, considering you can enjoy this before or after your treatment, even if you aren’t a hotel guest.

They aren’t hard to book, since there are plenty of openings in their schedule and speaking with the staff has been a breeze.

Pros

  • Stunning location
  • Luxury experience
  • Includes access to the spa facilities
  • Easy to book a session

Cons

  • Expensive rates

The spa treatments at Hale Country Club are indulgent treats, as they feel exclusive. The location feels the same, because it’s on the outskirts for that brilliantly quiet escape.

As for the treatment, there are plenty to choose from for every condition and need. There are two kinds of body wraps: detox wrap and nourish wrap. These will leave your skin nourished, which is the main bit we want here.

The overall ambience of the place is ace. It’s relaxing with excellent facilities and an on-site restaurant—basically, it’s got every single thing sorted out.

But note that these won’t be affordable, given that the membership and non-member fees are steep. If you’re a member, though, you’ll receive lower rates for the spa services and use of the facilities—but again, it won’t come cheap.

This place is still a gem, overall. My team had positive experiences, except for a few customer service issues when concerns weren’t addressed, but the spa treatments were spot on.

Pros

  • Exclusive feel
  • Quiet location
  • Complete spa facilities
  • Loads of spa treatments available
  • Members get cheaper rates

Cons

  • Expensive fees; steep non-member rates
  • Some customer service issues

Facilities were absolutely top-notch

“I recently visited the country club on a guest pass with my daughter and was genuinely impressed by the entire experience. The facilities were absolutely top-notch, and the food was delicious. On my way out, I enquired about joining the club, and I have to say the reception team were incredibly helpful and spot on with everything. I’m now in the process of joining and truly can’t wait to become a member of such a lovely club.”

Keith Robertson, Google Review

Friendly welcome every time

“My sanctuary. Friendly welcome everytime and attentive staff throughout the building. Food is really good quality and excellent everytime. Facilities are a high standard and cleanliness is high on thier agenda which is so important especially the new chaper after lockdown.”

Paloma’s Beauty is a small place but offers a wide variety of services. There are all sorts of wellness treatments for every need, from facials to body scrubs to cellulite treatments.

The body wraps are part of packages, which is fantastic for full-on pamper sessions. We appreciate the choices, since other spas in the area only offer one—there’s a slimming wrap and a thermal body wrap.

The results? Totally relaxing. Even the clients we spoke with appreciated how the staff knew exactly what to recommend for different skin types to ensure soft and smooth skin.

When it comes to prices, they’re basically a bargain, as most are under £100. Even the packages were fairly easy on the wallet, and you can even receive discounted rates by booking online.

Their availability isn’t perfect, though, considering they aren’t open daily. But that’s just us being nitpicky, because booking a service is fairly easy on the website.

Pros

  • Offers full-on pamper sessions
  • Affordable prices
  • Discounted rates online
  • Easy booking system

Cons

  • Closed on Sundays

Amazing package and treatments

“Amazing package and treatments. Such great value for money. Grace was an amazing therapist that went above and beyond. Even sharing insights and recommendations on aftercare and ways to look after tense muscles etc other than massage. I will definitely be back.”

Rebecca Marshall, Google Review

Lovely hidden gem

“Grace is extremely talented, every time you visit it feels special. Lovely hidden gem, doesn’t look like much until you go inside, it is a sanctuary. All of the staff are really lovely!”

If you fancy a luxury spa, Rena Spa at the elegant Midland Hotel is worth a look. The moment you step in, you’ll be surrounded by opulence.

And when it’s your turn at the table for a body wrap, we reckon you’ll have a grand time. They offer a combination of exfoliation with vitamin C and a body wrap that encourages collagen growth, resulting in a healthy glow.

And yes, the treatments are soothing, as mentioned by the clients we conversed with. Some clients particularly noted the staff’s accommodating nature, which helped with the overall positive experience.

Another bit worth mentioning is that you can use the thermal suite and relaxation area if you book a spa package, albeit the facilities are limited for the price.

These services come with a high price, however. On a positive note, you’re paying for a service packed with amenities, like the robe and slippers, a light lunch, and a glass of champagne.

Pros

  • Luxury spa
  • Located in an elegant hotel
  • Packages have loads of inclusions
  • Spa package includes access to facilities

Cons

  • High-end pricing
  • Limited facilities

Absolutely incredible experience

“Absolutely incredible experience! It being at the Midland Hotel, I had high expectations and was still blown away. The staff were really friendly and helpful, I thoroughly enjoyed my treatment and the relaxation room alone was worth the outing.”

Charley Helfet, Google Review

Everything was just right

“Booked various treatments, and spent an afternoon there. Everything was just right, from the rooms, decor, music, oils, and just as important, the staff. Really friendly, professional, attentive but not overly. Great team. Couldn’t fault anything and look forward to going again”
