We believe he’s a great choice for those who have a complicated medical history. Because of his good academic and professional background, we are confident he can provide a comprehensive treatment plan for everyone.

Another positive thing about his is that he accepts National Health Services referrals from general practitioners. This is great news for cost-conscious patients who are not ready to pay a lot for their treatment.

We also think it’s commendable that he also serves as an expert witness in legal proceedings, on top of maintaining his busy medical practice.

The only downside is that his operating hours vary per day, which makes it confusing for some of his patients. 

Additionally, since he is also an in-demand specialist, there are instances where there could be a long waiting list.

We highly suggest that you schedule an appointment in advance in order to secure a schedule. As for those who need immediate attention, we don’t think this may be the best clinic for you.

Jay Goswamy stood out to us because he is an ENT specialist for both adults and children. Because of this, we think that he’s the perfect doctor for the entire family!

Notably, he specialises in the surgical management of head and neck diseases, even  though he can handle all types of ENT concerns. In our books, he’s a great choice for those in need of thyroid and salivary gland surgery.

It’s also worth mentioning that Jay Goswamy is a popular choice among those who need assistance with airway and voice surgery.

Another thing we found commendable is his activity in charitable work. For instance, he set up the Manchester ENT Oncology Recovery Support or MENTORS — an organisation that supports those who have head and neck cancer in the area.

When we spoke to his patients, they happily shared that he is approachable and friendly. They added that he can ease anxious children during consultations and procedures.

Because of this quality, we believe that he is an ideal choice for those who may be nervous about getting treatment.

Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed that he charges £250 for consultations. This price is notably higher compared to other specialists in the area. On top of this, he also has varying operating hours which can be confusing to patients. 

Thus, we highly recommend regularly checking their website or calling their front desk for updates.

Tim Woolford has been practising medicine for over 20 years. Based on our surveys and research, we learned that he’s effectively earned the respect of his colleagues and patients through the years.

In fact, we found that many patients have been returning to him for various ENT-related issues. When we asked them why they keep choosing him, they said that they liked his patience and professional approach. 

One of them even mentioned that he speaks to them as if they are a member of his family. Overall, we believe Tim Woolford is an ideal choice for those who prioritise compassion when choosing their specialist.

Another thing we appreciate about him is he allows his patients to think about his proposed treatment plan before proceeding with any procedure — especially if it is something that is life-changing.

We also think it’s commendable that he only proceeds with invasive surgery as a last resort. As long as there is an alternative treatment, he prefers to not put his patients under the knife.

However, we are quite downcast that he is not operational during the weekends. In line with this, the limited days can also lead to a longer waiting list – so we suggest making an appointment months ahead!

One of the best things about Baskaran Ranganathan is his ability to connect with his patients. When we spoke with some of the people he treated, most of them raved about his friendliness and compassion.

We’re also happy to learn that he treats both adults and children. While he can assist in easing all types of ENT concerns, we found that he has vast expertise on managing nasal and sinus conditions.

In fact, we have gathered that most of his patients come to him for a rhinoplasty. He is known for having a good touch, whether the procedure is done for functional or cosmetic reasons.

Although a rhinoplasty from him is significantly more expensive compared to cosmetic doctors in the area, we think that he is worth the investment. Most of the patients who went on surgery under his expertise loved their “non-operated,” or natural look. 

We believe that this is thanks to his personalised approach and great attention to details. 

It is commendable that he takes the time to understand the patient and the goal that they wish to achieve — thus, creating a tailor-fitted treatment plan for each of them.

Finally, we think it’s fantastic that he caters to both face-to-face and virtual consultations. 

Considering that he is not operational during the weekends, we give him plus points for this option, since this gives his patients flexibility when setting appointments.

Iain Bruce is a perfect choice for those who are looking for an ENT specialist that can treat both adults and children. From our surveys, we noticed that he is well-loved by his patients for his professional yet friendly demeanour.

We also appreciate that his clinic is clean, cosy, and quite calming for patients who may be anxious about their appointment.

Another positive thing about Iain Bruce is that he specialises in many common ENT issues. Here, he can perform basic assessments to installation of implants.

Out of all of his services, the one we’d like to commend is his treatment for snoring and obstructive sleep apnoea for children. 

To treat this delicate condition in children, he offers a procedure called coblation to dissolve the tissue that makes up tonsils and adenoids. We find this notable since this isn’t something that can be handled by a lot of specialists in the area.

Unfortunately, we’re just disappointed that his clinic is only operational twice a week, every Wednesday and Thursday, so this translates limited slots for patients.  

In line with this, we suggest that you schedule an appointment week in advance to secure a slot because there can be a long waiting list.
