While the prices here are slightly more expensive than other halal restaurants in the area, with meals starting at £6.90, we believe that the beautiful interior, great customer service, and delicious food make it worth the extra charge.

My Karak Chai has two branches in Manchester. For us, this makes it clear that the locals absolutely love this place — and that’s for a good reason.

Not only that, but they also have a wide variety of options to choose from. Regulars suggest trying the Thai Chili Beef and Sticky BBQ Wings.

We were just a bit iffy as some people have reported inconsistent quality of their food. However, we also learned that the staff members are attentive and quick to correct any mistakes — which is good.

Nevertheless, we think that Zaraks Grill Lounge is worth the try as the majority of their diners are usually happy with the food that they receive. 

Cafe Istanbul is the perfect place to dine for those looking for elevated halal food.

For those who are planning to dine in as a group, their large portions will surely fill you up. Not only do they have delicious dishes, but they also have beautifully presented plates that are perfect for those who like taking images of their food.

Their menu is filled with authentic Turkish and Mediterranean dishes. We highly recommend their king prawns and falafel, which are both below £10. If you have a more flexible budget, their Imam Bayildi and Ottoman Saj Tava Lamb are must-tries at around £20.

While their dishes are more pricey, we believe Cafe Istanbul is still worth the try. For us, the fact that they have been in the industry for over 40 years and how they have a lot of loyal customers speak volumes about the quality of their food.

Furthermore, we like that it’s a great place for events. They have a variety of function rooms that can accommodate different types of events and number of guests.

Even though we came here to try out their breakfast selections, we strongly believe that their dishes will be great even for luncheons and dinner events! Furthermore, their staff is very responsive to inquiries, which is another plus in our books!
