Pros

  • Wide range of menu offerings
  • Highly raved dishes according to their customers
  • Offers vegan and vegetarian options
  • Kid’s menu is available

Cons

  • Records of poor service quality
  • Long wait times during weekends and holidays

Double Zero is well-known for being all about that authentic vibe, whipping up Neapolitan-style pizzas that stick to the traditional Naples methods and flavours.

The first thing that we love is that they use top-notch ingredients and cook everything to perfection in a wood-fired oven, giving Mancunians a taste that’s totally legit.

As for their menu, we’re pleased to find that it isn’t just about the usual Margaritas and Marinara pizzas made with regular flour! They actually use the “00” flour which makes their thin crusts crispier than usual.

In our opinion, those who love crunchy crusts will enjoy this. On the other hand, for those who have a preference for a thicker crust, they might not be the best bet.

Furthermore, they’ve got everything from classic picks to some seriously creative creations – a little something for every pizza lover. But, we have to mention the higher price tag that comes with this.

From what we’ve seen, their pizzas cost around £13.99 for one serving, which is pretty steep for us. Despite this, most of the regulars we’ve talked to mentioned that it’s well worth every pence.

As for the restaurant itself, we love that it has a cosy and welcoming vibe that just adds to the whole dining experience. With the smell of those wood-fired pizzas wafting around, it creates a nice atmosphere for customers to dine in!

On the other hand, one lowlight that we must mention is the somewhat limited space, which can get crowded really quick during weekends and holidays.

Additionally, some chaps we surveyed have mentioned that things can take a bit longer during peak times. So, that’s a bummer for those in a rush.

Nonetheless, we think that those who are all about that authentic Neapolitan pizza experience and don’t mind a few hiccups, Double Zero 00 is still a top pick!

Pros

  • Great dining ambiance
  • Highly raved dishes according to their customers
  • Offers vegan and vegetarian options

Cons

  • Limited range of dish offerings
  • Records of poor service quality
  • Menu isn’t available on their website

Rudy’s Pizza Napoletana is all about crafting pizzas with love and care, which makes them one of the most popular spots around the city.

The first thing that we love about them is their well-kept and interesting interiors. They have an open kitchen concept that showcases their pizza maestros whipping up different pizzas.

For us, this adds a little flair to the whole dining experience because it allows their customers to admire their expertise and review how well their dishes are prepared.

As for their pizza, Rudy’s menu is packed with the classics with some unique offerings. One of their crowd favourites is the Calabrese with spicy nduja and fresh basil, most of their regulars order this in batches to whether it’s for here or for takeaway.

Another thing we love about their pizza is that it’s made fresh to order, so customers can expect a hot and tasty pie every time they order!

We also love that they’ve got appetisers like arancini and burrata, plus desserts like tiramisu and homemade gelato in all sorts of flavours. For us, this means not being limited to just pizzas, but rather having other dishes that can go along with it.

With these positive aspects, we’re not surprised that Rudy’s is so popular. Customers might have to brace themselves for a bit of a wait, especially during weekends, holidays and even during game season.

We suggest visiting them during off-peak hours or, even better, make a reservation to dodge the queues.

Pros

  • Great ambiance
  • Affordable prices
  • Offers online reservations

Cons

  • Limited menu offerings
  • Inconsistent food quality

From what we’ve seen, Black Spot Pizza has gained the continued support of Mancunians by dishing out tasty pizzas with a cool twist.

Also, we love that they’re pretty near the city centre, which makes visiting them convenient. Another plus for us is their parking spots, making them more accessible to patrons.

We’re also pleased to note from our surveys that their staff is always welcoming and attentive to their patrons, enhancing the overall dining experience.

As for their offerings, we noted that they’re a bit simpler compared to other establishments.

But, in our books, having fewer offerings doesn’t mean they lack in terms of quality. Many of their regulars have actually sworn by their classics, which is always a bonus for us!

One big thing we love about them is they’re still affordable, considering the big portions. For us, this means good quality pizza without breaking the bank!

However, we must point out that some customers mentioned that not all of Black Spot Pizza’s dishes meet that great standard. The way we see it, this gamble could ruin the dining experience for some.

That said, for what they offer, we think Black Spot Pizza still deserves to be a top pick for Mancunian pizza lovers.

Pros

  • Wide range of options offered
  • Good food quality
  • Serves big portions
  • Vegan and vegetarian options are available

Cons

  • Records of poor customer service
  • Limited seating space available

Pizza Express is a global pizza joint known for their wide menu, spot-on service, and smart locations. You’ll find them everywhere, so it’s dead easy to sort out those pizza cravings.

We have to admit, though, that the place does have a fast-food type of ambiance. From what we’ve seen, the seating spaces are a tad limited, which means it can get crowded pretty quick especially during the lunch rush.

As for their menu, we love that they have a wide range of options which includes not only pizzas, but also sides, salads, and other dishes. So we have to give it to them in terms of variety.

We also have to appreciate their attentive staff. Most of their customers we’ve talked to are satisfied with the level of service that they offer.

That said, there are still some comments from our surveys that the service levels are inconsistent throughout different locations, which is something to keep in mind when dining with them.

The best thing we love about them is their affordability, as their pizzas usually cost around £17 to £19, which is already good enough for two to three people. For us, this makes them a solid choice if you’re looking for a cheap and quick option.

Pros

  • Near the the city centre
  • Exceptional customer service
  • Unique pizza flavours available

Cons

  • Limited pizza options
  • Other dishes aren’t as good as their pizzas

Bravissimi is this cool mix of Italian and Mediterranean vibes, and the place itself is pretty snazzy, with loads of room to kick back.

What caught our attention to them right away is their menu that’s all about fusing traditional Italian flavours with a Mediterranean twist, with fresh ingredients whipping up pizzas and pasta dishes that hit the spot.

From what we’ve seen, their pizza offerings are limited to only five options. However, we’re glad to find that all of these are a crowd favourite, according to the customers we’ve surveyed.

On the downside, we’re disappointed that their prices aren’t available online. This means that potential customers will need to drop by their location or check other websites in order to get the specific prices for their orders.

The way we see it, this takes away the convenience of knowing their price range ahead of time.

Another thing we’re a bit iffy about is the quality of their other dishes. According to some of the customers we’ve talked to, their pasta offerings and focaccia are a bit on the dry side, which is something to keep in mind.

That said, we’re still positive about them because of their highly praised service levels. They’re well-liked by both regulars and new patrons, which is always a big plus in our books!

From our surveys, most of their patrons have commended them for their attentiveness and efficiency. We think that this adds a positive note to the overall dining experience.

Furthermore, we’re also glad to find out that Bravissimi’s staff are able to accommodate special requests such as substitutions for specific ingredients, as well as offering vegan and vegetarian versions of their dishes.

The icing on the cake for us, though, is that Bravissimi still manages to offer some of the most unique pizzas in the city and that’s why they still deserve a spot on our list.
