However, the silver lining is their long operating hours, as they’re open until 3 am every day! This means that they can cater to both early birds and night owls, unlike most pool table halls in the area.

We also appreciate their diverse offerings. From savoury food and refreshing drinks to a solid focus on snooker and a commendable pool table area — they cover the essentials for a fun stay.

The bonus? Live sports events grace their screens, creating an engaging atmosphere for patrons. 

They are also a winner in the affordability department. With rates starting at just £1 per play, we like that they open the doors to players without burning a hole in their pockets.

One of the highlights here is the warm reception from the staff. We heard numerous positive accounts from patrons, describing the team as not just welcoming but also encouraging.

There was even a delightful instance where a shy guest was encouraged into a game. For us, this showcases the staff’s friendliness and dedication to ensuring everyone feels at home.

Rileys Sports Bar caught our attention as a vibrant party hub. This is thanks to its spacious setup and lively atmosphere that makes it a popular choice for gatherings and celebrations.

One of the standout features of Rileys is their reasonable rates which become even more budget-friendly for larger groups. This affordability earns them some extra points from us — especially for those looking for a pocket-friendly night out.

Additionally, we like that their customers consistently praised the staff here for their kindness and warmth. Many visitors shared with us that they feel as comfortable as they would in their own homes.

While they offer a great experience once you’re inside, getting there can be a bit challenging. We’re a bit iffy that it’s located approximately 30 minutes away from the city centre.

Additionally, we also received reports of limited parking. This is why we believe that public transportation might be the more convenient choice for visitors.

Another downside we noted is the comparatively early closing time of 11:00 pm. This may disappoint night owls looking for a late-night gaming session. 

On a positive note, they provide a plethora of activities. This includes big-screen sports, snooker, pool tables, and dartboards that ensure a diverse range of entertainment options.

Coupled with the availability of food and drinks, we believe that they are worth the visit despite the cons we mentioned.

Shooters Bar stands out as a relaxed haven for those seeking a casual and enjoyable time. Our research indicates a welcoming and laid-back crowd that makes them an ideal spot for anyone wanting to unwind and have a good time.

One of the strong suits of this bar is its diverse offerings. From pool tables that cater to enthusiasts to engaging arcade games — they provide a range of entertainment options. 

They also offer delectable food and drinks that make the stay here even more worthwhile.

While they are slightly on the expensive side, we think that they compensate with their inclusive packages. 

For instance, their £100 package offers a 3-litre beer tower, a choice of beer or cider, a bottle of prosecco, and a Wurst or Wings platter, along with a reserved pool table for two hours.

Conveniently located within the city centre, we appreciate that they’re easily accessible for those wanting to drop by spontaneously. Additionally, their relatively late closing time caters to night owls.

Just keep in mind that their varying operating hours throughout the week could be confusing. With this, we advise calling ahead and confirming their schedule before planning a visit.

When it comes to customer service, the customer we’ve spoken to shared that this team boasts accommodating staff members that add to the overall positive atmosphere. 

Black Dog is a New York-style bar that is nestled in the heart of Manchester’s Northern Quarter. We really like how it’s located beneath the iconic Affleck’s Palace.

With this, they score major points for their accessible location. Additionally, we believe that they are an ideal choice for parties as guests won’t face any challenges finding this spot.

Additionally, we believe their extended operating hours until 5:00 am on Saturdays provide ample time for night owls to enjoy the festivities.

In terms of affordability, they offer reasonable rates at £8 during off-peak hours and £10 during peak times on Fridays and Saturdays. 

Another standout feature of this bar is their friendly and helpful staff members. We learned that their assistance extends beyond serving food and drinks, they are equally adept at facilitating games — enhancing the overall experience for visitors. 

However, we think that they fall short in terms of variety. Unlike other pool table halls in the area, it exclusively focuses on the pool which lacks the diverse range of activities that some competitors offer.

This limited scope might disappoint patrons seeking a broader entertainment experience. However, with all of the advantages that we mentioned above, we still think that they’re worth a visit.

7Sins has become a go-to spot for those who want to enjoy a good burger while engaging in friendly competition. 

With a lineup that includes both shuffleboard and pool tables, they cater to a variety of gaming preferences. This dual offering provides patrons with options that ensure there’s always a game for everyone.

Conveniently located in the Northern Quarter, they are easily accessible via public and private transportation. For us, this makes it a stress-free destination for locals and visitors alike.

For instance, one customer we spoke with shared that their reservation hadn’t been properly registered when they arrived at the venue. 

Despite this, we still think that they’re deserving of a visit. Just make sure to verify your booking to avoid misunderstandings.
