What we liked most about Sneaker Pharm* is that there’s no age limit on the shoes they can work with. Based on what we’ve seen, even decades-old pairs or designer brands can be repaired or restored. 

What we, and many other customers, also appreciated was how they made any pair look brand spanking new! That’s because they deep clean the entire shoe, both outside and inside, even steam-treating it. That’s how detailed they are with their work!  

From what we’ve gathered from previous customers, they also make good on their promised turnaround times! They can even finish their work the day after they’ve started it.

That said, since their store is out of the way, it can be a hassle to make the trip. As for the shoes that they’re able to handle, it was a let-down to see that there are only a few shoe types that they can reliably clean.

If you’re looking for a business that can clean your favourite pair without endangering the environment, SNEAKERAPY might be the best choice. Their practices prioritise leaving as little waste as possible while making sneakers last longer.

But the main reason we like them is their wide range of shoe cleaning and repair services. Their sole replacement, in particular, will leave sneakers looking good as new and ready for reuse.

They also have service packages, which can be a good choice for those willing to pay for a more thorough cleaning in one go. Their packages, even the cheaper “Basic Clean” one, involve a deep clean of multiple parts. 

It’s also a plus that those within 5 miles of their store get a free collection and return! We just think they could improve their communication with customers, as they often leave out details when discussing their services.  

Additionally, their package prices tend to be on the higher end. Also, given their name, they only handle sneakers.

“Customer service 2nd to none! As soon as [I] enquired, they replied in a timely manner and [within] minutes we arranged a date for my trainers to be collected. They arrived and dropped off the trainers earlier than stated and it looks almost brand new. Spotless Sneaks shines in our books for their quick turnaround time—shoes can get dropped off, cleaned, then returned all in a day!

The best part? Their speed doesn’t come at the expense of quality! Whether they’re working on an old, worn-out pair or new designer shoes, they do a thorough job.

Spotless Sneaks offers the usual cleaning services, including dirt and scuff removal, and also provides retouching. This includes details like reglittering or redyeing, and is done so in a way that’ll leave shoes looking fresh out of the box. 

However, we have some reservations about the lack of detailed customer testimonials about their work, which might deter some first-timers. 

It’s also a shame that they can only clean a select few shoe types, so they’re out of the question if you’re looking to get heels or loafers cleaned.

If there’s one thing we appreciate about Nusole, it’s their extensive services. Plus, they handle a wide variety of shoe types. They can even clean designer brands!

Overall, we like their thorough work, as well as the quick turnaround time. From our surveys with their previous customers, one thing we noted was that they almost always leave the shoes looking brand new. Some even said that their shoes look even better!   

Plus, they can also improve the shoes’ lifespan, which means things like repellent spray or a shoe tree for a fresh smell. We were also pleasantly surprised to see that they offer free shipping and shoe returns for those who spend more than £200 on their services. 

The downsides, though? Their services are pricey and have a set turnaround time of 5-7 days. Not exactly a good choice if you’re looking for shoe cleaners on a budget or in a hurry.

What we like most about Clean Gene’s services is that they’re quick with cleaning and returning shoes. Based on feedback from previous customers, we’ve found that their speediness and efficiency enable same-day returns!

Customers can expect to get their shoes deep-cleaned and free of stains in no time! Some previous customers have even said that Clean Gene has become their go-to shoe cleaner because of its exceptional quality.

But aside from major restorations and repairs, they can also do some minor retouches, so even minimal damage can be addressed. This means things like repainting or relacing worn-out and faded shoes so that they look fresh again. 

The result, according to lots of customers, is shoes returned in pristine condition! The process is made even smoother since they regularly communicate via WhatsApp, and customers are regularly updated and kept informed throughout the process. 

We’re just iffy about how limited their services are, since they only offer a few types of cleaning services. They can also only handle trainers, sneakers, and stilettos, so anything else is out of the question.
