Pros

  • Multiple screens
  • Accessible location
  • Wide selection of affordable food and drinks

Cons

  • Closed on Mondays
  • Instances of serving wrong orders

The Brotherhood Of Pursuits And Pastimes caught our attention with its abundance of screens. This ensures a fantastic viewing experience regardless of your seat.

Nestled on Mount Street, their central location makes it a convenient spot for patrons. We also think that they will be a destination for those seeking extended sports enjoyment as they are operational from noon to the early hours of the morning.

Sadly we’re a bit iffy about their closure on Mondays — unlike some of their daily-operating counterparts in the area.

On the other hand, the menu boasts a diverse array of options, from jalapeno poppers to mozzarella dippers, and crunchy Mexican bean wraps. However, we thibk it’s clear that the star of the show was their savoury chicken wings.

The beverage options are equally impressive, featuring an assortment of wines, champagnes, roses, beers, and ales. We also appreciate that they have inventive cocktails like the pea mojito and Godfather sour.

When it comes to prices, our research indicates an average customer spends £20 to £30. This positions them on the more affordable side of sports bars in the area — so we give them plus points for that.

While our experience with their staff was positive, we think it’s fair to mention occasional lapses in service accuracy, as shared by other guests.

Sadly, we received some reports of incorrect or incomplete orders reaching tables. We’re glad to find, though, that the staff swiftly rectified these instances.

Pros

  • Accessible location
  • Operational everyday
  • Wide screens and other entertainment attractions
  • Wide selection of food and drinks
  • Gluten-free and vegan options
  • Attentive staff members

Cons

  • Reports of inconsistent food quality

Shooters Bar is a cherished UK chain with branches scattered across the nation. Luckily, they opened a spot at The Printworks in Manchester that offers both locals and tourists a convenient venue to have fun.

We like that they are operational every day and their long operating hours. This is a plus for us because their hours allow patrons to enjoy lunch, dinner, and late-night drinks within their premises.

They also have an impressive array of screens that offer good viewing angles wherever you may be seated. Plus, we think it’s great that there are other activities to do here, like pool and arcade games.

We also like how their menu also caters to diverse palates, with options ranging from pizza to wings and fries. The best part? They have gluten-free and vegan choices—a plus for inclusivity!

However, we noted some reports about inconsistent food quality at Shooters Bar. In our surveys, some guests expressed concerns over bland and undercooked dishes.

On the bright side, their drinks menu has many fans, as it leans heavily towards a varied selection of beers. We especially like that they offer sharing options starting at £23.45 for larger groups, which solidifies them as an affordable choice for larger gatherings.

Pros

  • Console of classic video games
  • Affordable food and drink selection
  • Live and rerun sports games
  • Accessible location
  • Knowledgeable staff members

Cons

  • Food is limited to snacks only
  • Closed on Mondays
  • Closes earlier compared to other sports bars

Calcio! is a unique retreat that invites patrons to rediscover the joys of their childhood. What we appreciate most about them is their array of free-to-use consoles of classic video games.

They also offer a wide variety of Rio-Mex dishes. However, we think that it’s essential to note that the culinary offerings are limited to snacks such as croquettes, tacos, and nachos only

When it comes to drinks, we like that they serve patrons with a varied drinks menu, featuring frozen margaritas and jarritos. We’re surprised to learn that they even have coffee selections — setting them apart from other sports bars in the area.

According to our research, an average meal here sets back guests at an average of £10 to £20 — making them an affordable option. This is why we’re not surprised to learn that they’ve become a go-to spot for students.

Furthermore, they regularly showcase live football, NFL, rugby, and more on their multiple screens. But we like that they go beyond the usual by airing reruns of both recent and iconic older matches.

They are situated in the bustling Northern Quarter which makes them accessible to their guests. However, we think that it’s important to mention that the establishment is closed on Monday.

Additionally, we also discovered that they also close compared to other bars in the city, and this can be an issue for those who intend to go for an all-out night out.

Finally, we appreciate that they have knowledgeable staff members. We appreciate how they went the extra mile to help us discover new beer options and food pairings –  making our visit truly enjoyable.

Pros

  • Welcoming customer service
  • Accessible location
  • Extensive wine selection

Cons

  • Closes early compared to other bars

Movement Sports and Wine Bar is one of the newest additions to the area. Despite this, we’re impressed that they have swiftly earned favour among locals.

For us, what sets them apart is their exceptional and accommodating customer service. In fact, during our visit, their polite staff members really stood out to us.

We appreciate how the crew goes the extra mile by remembering customers’ names even after a single visit! We think that this personal touch fosters a sense of friendship between patrons and the staff.

While they boast big screens for live show viewing, we think it’s essential to note the absence of additional entertainment options — unlike other competitors in the area.

Nonetheless, we love how they’re located in the bustling Northern Quarter, which makes finding the establishment a breeze. We’re just a bit letdown that they tend to close earlier than the other bars.

We also discovered that the bar has gained notable recognition for its wine selection. Here, they feature distinguished labels such as Casa Del Arco Blanco, Waterford Single Vineyard, and Domaine Michaud Frères Chablis.

As for their pricing, we appreciate that they cater to a range of preferences and budgets. They provide options for both those looking to splurge and those seeking budget-friendly choices, with prices starting as low as £8.

Pros

  • Dog-friendly establishment
  • HD screens, pool tables, and Viaplay
  • Wide selection of affordable food and beverages
  • Accessible location
  • Open everyday

Cons

  • Reports of rude bouncers

Directors Box stands out to us as a delightful dog-friendly pub where one can take their furbabies as they enjoy their favourite sports game.

They also ensure an immersive sports-watching experience with HD screens scattered throughout. This helps patrons keep up with any action regardless of their seating arrangement.

We like that they also go beyond the standard sports bar offerings by providing additional entertainment options like pool tables and access to Viaplay, enhancing the overall viewing experience!

When it comes to the menu, we like that they offer a diverse range of food options, including burgers, pizza, and wraps. Plus, we appreciate how they’re an affordable option, with meal offerings starting at £10.50.

We also give them props for hosting bottomless brunches that allow their customers to indulge in their drinks for an even more affordable cost.

Additionally, the attentive service here is commendable. We’re delighted when the drinks were promptly provided upon our arrival and they regularly inquired about refills.

Just keep in mind that we received concerns that they have strict bouncers here who can sometimes come across as rude. However, we noted that many other patrons defended them, saying that they were only doing their job.

Lastly, it’s a plus that they’re conveniently located at Booth Street, which means that they are easily accessible for customers, whether they opt for private or public transportation.

Pros

  • Vibrant screens
  • Good sound system
  • Convenient location
  • Affordable food and drinks selection

Cons

  • Limited operating hours
  • Instances of rude bouncers

Tib Street Tavern has been operational for more than a decade, and we simply couldn’t miss out on this one because they’ve been a steady companion for locals during live games.

We believe that this regular following is thanks to their vibrant screens that are strategically placed all over the bar to create an immersive experience.

On top of this, their sound system is great, allowing clear commentary amidst the roaring crowd during our visit.

We also like that they are conveniently situated on their namesake street. This makes them accessible via all modes of transportation, with ample parking available nearby.

It’s also a plus that they open their doors every day.  But we were a bit iffy with their late opening and early closing times that can be limiting for some patrons.

On the brighter side, their food selection is commendable. We particularly enjoyed their Chicken Wings and Chilli Loaded Fries.

Their drinks menu also offers a satisfying array of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options. Our choices, the Anchor Liberty and Blue Moon, were delightful companions to the lively atmosphere.

Furthermore, we love how Tib Street Tavern also offers affordability without compromising on quality — with meals priced between £10 to £20.

Sadly, we received complaints about their bouncers’ demeanour which can sometimes come across as rude. However, we noted that all of the staff members were polite and accommodating during our visit.

With this, we still think that this bar is worth a try.

Pros

  • 25 HD screens and shuffleboards
  • Live music
  • Affordable food and drinks

Cons

  • Confusing operating hours
  • Slow food serving

BOX stands out to us because of their top-notch facilities. We think that avid sports fans will love this place, thanks to their access to all the best Sky, TNT, and Box Office sporting events with commentary.

We were also impressed with their 25 HD screens throughout the venue — ensuring that their patrons won’t miss a moment of the action.

Plus, customers can play shuffleboard which provides additional entertainment during commercial breaks. And at night, we’re amazed by how the atmosphere here transforms as they start to play live music.

On the downside, though they’re open everyday, we’re slightly concerned about their varying operating hours — which can be confusing for potential customers.

With this, we believe that it’s advisable to call ahead before heading over to avoid any surprises. Additionally, we think booking a table in advance is essential as the place can get packed, especially during big games.

Sadly, this can also play a factor when it comes to their customer service.  We received many complaints about slow service, and we experienced the same during our visit.

However, it’s worth noting that we found the staff to be polite and accommodating, which is a silver lining in our books.

On the other hand, their food selection starts at an affordable £7 only. Some of the must-tries for us are classic nachos and deluxe burgers.

We also enjoyed their drinks menu. They have many offerings, but the Pornstar Steintini and Caribbean Crush were standouts for us.
