The Top 5 Urologists in Manchester Homepage

The Top 5 Urologists in Manchester

How we picked

Competence – We looked at how well the doctor knows the specialty in question.
Qualifications – When looking for a urologist, it’s important to find one who has undergone the rigorous process to become board-certified. We chose well-maintained facilities and accredited specialists for this list.
Patient Care – A doctor who’s uninterested in their patients results in poor communication skills and will be a liability in the long term. This is why we chose clinics that value their patients well.
Cost – After doing research, we chose urologists whose prices we found fair and reasonable.

Pros

  • Attentive and personable
  • Is a subspecialist for minimally invasive renal stones removal

Cons

  • His fees are higher than most urologists

Cheshire Urology is a one-man clinic for nonsurgical and surgical cases run by Azi Samsud. It’s in the Cheshire and Merseyside area, but it also serves Manchester.

In 1996, he got his medical degree from Cardiff Medical School. Then he finished his training in urology and was given a job at Whiston and St. Helens Hospital, part of the NHS (National Health Service).

During the interviews we did with his patients, we found out that he’s attentive and personable.

They said that he has great bedside manner, which helps his patients trust him. This is important for diagnosing and treating illnesses.

He also has a successful private practice at Spire Cheshire Hospital in Warrington and Fairfield Independent Hospital in St. Helens.

The patients we talked to were happy about the doctor’s friendly attitude and excellent skills, especially his subspecialty: minimally invasive surgery for kidney stones, bladder outlet blockage, and treatment for renal cancer.

Even so, his clients still think he charges a lot for his services. His consultation fee for new clients is around £200, and for old clients, it’s roughly £120.

This is £20–£50 more than the standard price, and it doesn’t include exam fees.

If you wish to get a urologist that fits a small budget, he’s not for you.

Pros

  • Has 11 urology specialists
  • Has many options for loans

Cons

  • As a private hospital, they’re naturally expensive
  • Communication skills are below average

Spire Manchester Hospital is proud to have a team of skilled urologists for the people of Manchester. With 11 urologists on staff, this hospital can give patients more options for consultations and second opinions all in one place.

The hospital can take care of most, if not all, of your medical needs, including benign prostate treatments, prostatectomy, testicular implants, and vasectomy.

The number of urologists also helps patients avoid waiting long periods just to have their problems checked. Clients praised the company’s urologists for using urodynamics and other cutting-edge technology to solve their health issues.

Along with a broader range of specialists, patients also have more tests, treatments, and procedures to choose from. Clients said they were happy with the options they had to get good medical care.

As a private hospital, however, its services are expensive. Even though they offer loans for any procedure, the interest rate is 9.9%, and the loan is payable within 18 months.

While we appreciate the attempt to provide financial relief to patients, this may add up to large costs in the long run.

Another thing that may make you reconsider choosing the hospital is that internal communication among departments isn’t ideal. Clients said that offices don’t coordinate well with each other, which makes it hard for people to get tests done.

Pros

  • Has the most extensive urology services
  • Fast and prompt services

Cons

  • The most expensive entry on this list

Manchester Urology says that it has some of the most experienced and well-known urologists in the northwest of England.

Their long-term success can be attributed to their desire to research, come up with new ideas, and change based on their patients’ needs.

They have the most extensive set of urology services on this list, giving patients more choices for their health care.

Clients said the clinic is their go-to place for anything urology-related. And another thing they loved about the company is its prompt services.

Patients retold their experiences when they acquired the clinic’s services and said they were greeted with smiles and warm accommodations the moment they entered the establishment.

Most of them were glad they were served immediately, and some said they didn’t have to be in a waiting line.

That said, they weren’t as pleased when the bill came and showed how much they charged for the services rendered. We found this company is the most expensive entry on this list.

Pros

  • Offers the best prices
  • Has same-day appointments

Cons

  • Receptionists are off-putting and oftentimes rude
  • Test results arrive slower than expected

Pall Mall Medical is locally known to offer the best prices for any urology services. Patients commended the clinic’s pricing because it makes medical treatments more affordable.

For as low as £86, patients can avail of this clinic’s offerings. We also found that it loves giving special offers with discounts ranging from 15% to 50% for services like tests, treatments, and standard procedures.

Prices like those are rare for a private clinic, thus giving them an edge against their competitors. That said, not all aspects of its service are ideal.

Patients said that their test results arrived longer than expected. This may be due to their lack of staff in the testing department.

It may not make up for the long wait, but it’s useful that the clinic can entertain same-day appointments. This feature is commended by most of the patients we polled since it’s convenient for urgent needs.

It also helps that the receptionists are swift in answering calls and booking appointments. However, patients reported that the clinic’s receptionist is off-putting and rude, sometimes causing misunderstandings with the patient.

Pros

  • Is an accredited international cancer center
  • Passionate in educating about urology health

Cons

  • More focused on male urinary tract systems

Urology Clinics Manchester has an extensive network of specialists in this field.

Over 20 million people rely on their knowledge, talent, and equipment to provide the best possible treatment to patients. The group brings together professionals from each subspecialty of urology.

The clinic has been recognized and accredited as an international center for cancer treatments related to urology because of how big it is and how many things it can do. This is the clinic’s biggest advantage.

Patients come from all over the world to be treated in the center. They come for the clinic’s robotic prostatectomy, hormone therapy, chemotherapy, and more treatments done by dedicated specialists aided by the center’s technology.

The clinic doesn’t only care about their patients when they book an appointment or use one of their services.

They provide full service by teaching their patients about the basics of urology, their illnesses, and how to treat (or prevent) them by changing their lifestyles.

However, this clinic is only focused on men’s urological care. The patients we polled were all men since the clinic’s services are only limited to them.

However, women will be glad to know that there are specialists all over the city for them to choose from.
