Gas Safety Manchester Limited doesn’t mess around when it comes to compliance and safety. We like that you can rely on them for a range of gas-safety certificates, like domestic and commercial, LPG work, EICR electrical inspections, and even fire assessments for HMOs.

They provide clear compliance documentation with certificates and reports included after inspections, which greatly helps with legal compliance, landlord requirements, and future sales.

It’s just a bummer that they don’t focus on boiler installations, but they do have packages or plans for repairs and servicing, in case a replacement isn’t needed yet.

On a positive note, their same-day services and certifications come in clutch, especially if you need compliance quickly for things like rentals, sales, or an urgent safety concern. 

Price-wise? We have to say, we’re happy to see their transparent and reasonable pricing. Services like CP12 certificates can start at £60 and boiler servicing from £70, which are in the lower or mid-range for the area.

What we like most about A+R Central Heating is their sheer scope of services, such as boiler replacement and upgrades, hot-water repairs, radiator and pipework, power-flushing, landlord certificates, and even electric boiler repair. It’s basically a one-stop shop for gas and heating. 

Speaking of landlord certificates, they can easily do the required safety check on gas appliances, flues and pipework to guarantee the property meets UK landlord regulations. 

And since they already handle repairs, servicing, and heating diagnostics, they can combine a CP12 check with routine maintenance or a service visit. On top of that, we feel reassured that they can drop by for emergency services, even beyond regular business hours. 

We did note some reports of late arrivals, though. So, you’ll probably have to double-check at least the day or an hour before your scheduled appointment. 

Nonetheless, we can’t deny their fast response and turnaround for repairs, which is a big deal in tricky situations.

Manchester Gas & Heating is a worthy speed-dial contact for landlords since they offer boiler servicing, repairs, installations and CP12 certification; they can handle everything in one visit. 

We like how comprehensive their boiler services are, too. They can take care of old equipment removal, flue sealing, boiler pressure, and more, so they pretty much handle all the logistics.

It’s worth mentioning that they service all domestic and commercial boilers, which means you can extend your existing boiler’s life regardless of its brand. However, they don’t focus much on non-boiler repairs for other gas appliances.

Beyond that, they also cover plumbing repairs, leak detection, and central heating, which means that they can manage projects that involve multiple systems in one go. 

Lastly, we love that they’re on call 24 hours a day for boiler breakdowns and urgent heating issues. This has been a lifesaver, especially during winter.

The cool thing we learned about JD Plumbing and Heating is that through their care plans and service packages, they often include safety inspections. You can bundle a CP12 check with a boiler service or maintenance visit. This is useful, especially if you have multiple rental properties.

We love that they also handle general plumbing, heating systems, repairs, and not just boilers. It makes them an all-in-one provider.

Here’s a convenient perk: we found that when you get a new boiler through them, you also get up to 12 years of parts and labour guarantee. So if anything goes wrong, you can have peace of mind knowing you won’t be spending big on repair costs.

On the flipside, their call-out charges can be pricey, so the final cost can be quite steep. But hey, we have to give them props for their fast response times, making them reliable for emergencies.
