Trust Your Gut: Top 5 Colonic Irrigation Spots for a Healthier You

  • Service Quality - We looked for clinics with highly trained practitioners, ideally with certifications from recognized bodies.
  • Facilities - We prioritised clinics that emphasise cleanliness and availability of modern colonic systems.
  • Accessibility - We evaluated clinics based on their proximity to major transport links such as tram and bus stations, as well as the availability of parking.
  • Pricing - We compared the cost of standard colonic treatments across clinics, looking for those offering competitive pricing without compromising service quality.
  • Track Records - Long-standing clinics with established reputations in the Manchester area were prioritised, particularly those with years of service and repeat clientele.

Colonic irrigation might sound like an intimidating treatment, but many swear by its detoxifying benefits.

I first heard about it when a friend raved about how much lighter and more energised she felt after her session. Curious but cautious, I started doing some research!

Well, after learning that colonic hydrotherapy can cleanse the colon of toxins and waste while boosting digestion and overall wellness, I was intrigued enough to give it a try—and find the best spots to have it done.

Now, to help you have a healthier gut, I’m sharing this list of top spots our team visited—because sharing is caring!

Located in the luxurious Lowry Hotel, Complete Health Clinic offers a premium colonic irrigation experience.

We particularly like that they have over eighteen years of experience. They’re also known for their high-quality treatments and services, including colonic hydrotherapy, sound healing, and nutritional advice.

From our client surveys, we noted how they’re praised for their personalised, holistic approach to wellness, focusing on long-term health benefits.

However, we have to mention that they’re worth a pretty penny. Their standard colonic hydrotherapy treatments start at £80, which is a bit steep in our books.

What keeps us positive about them, though, is their multi-session discounts for frequent users, which still makes them a good value for your hard-earned pound.

They’re also members of the Association of Registered Colon Hydrotherapists (ARCH), which is a big plus for us because it ensures rigorous safety standards for their clients.

Overall, Complete Health Clinic is a solid choice for colonic irrigation in Manchester because of their strong reputation in delivering consistent, high-quality treatments.

Pros

  • Highly experienced staff
  • Free parking at a prestigious location
  • Various packages tailored to individual needs

Cons

  • Higher-end pricing compared to other clinics
  • Closed on Sundays

    Can’t recommend it highly enough

“Had my first visit to the clinic yesterday and can’t recommend it highly enough.  The surroundings are high class and Helen the owner was fabulous from start to finish. The treatment itself was carried out with the utmost care and respect and the results achieved were very impressive.  It was so good that I booked my next appointment before leaving.”

    Lisa Leslie, Google Review

    I highly recommend

“Was quite nervous about getting this procedure for Helen. It was Amazing, she explained everything and put my mind at ease and the procedure itself wasn’t bad at all. I highly recommend Helen.”

What we found notable about Colonics Detox is how its founder, Abigail Rhodes, has almost twenty years of experience as a holistic therapist! Furthermore, she’s highly praised for her professional yet compassionate approach.

The clients we spoke with also commend the clinic for making them feel comfortable and well-informed throughout the process. This is an important plus for us, as colonic irrigation can be intimidating, especially for first-timers.

As for the pricing, initial colonic treatments are priced at £69, with follow-up sessions available at £67. We love how these are done in a calm and welcoming environment.

We just found their packages like the “Ultimate Cleanse” for £75, which includes a coffee enema for a deeper detox, is a bit higher since it’s more premium.

However, they offer discounts if customers bring a friend or book multiple sessions, which is something we appreciate!

The clinic itself is far from the city centre, however, the location has easily accessible parking nearby. It’s also a short walk from local tram stations, making it convenient for those using public transport.

    Pros

    • Personalised service with detailed aftercare advice
    • High client satisfaction and a strong track record
    • Variety of packages and discounts for frequent clients

    Cons

    • Slightly higher prices for premium services like coffee enemas
    • Located slightly outside Manchester’s city centre

      Felt amazing ever since

“I recently had a colonic treatment with Abigail and have felt amazing ever since.

The whole process was fantastic from a simple booking process to detailed information pre treatment. On the day of the treatment Abigail clearly explained what to expect and we had a good discussion about diet and nutrition. Abigail is clearly very experienced and also very professional.”

      Alexis Aarons, Google Review

      My first session was amazing

“My first session was amazing, Abigail makes you feel so welcome and relaxed.

I feel lighter and a lot less bloated, and will definitely be returning. I would recommend it to anyone just wishing I knew about this years ago. thank you”

Mi Vida Inner Health Clinic is known for its personalised and compassionate approach to colonic hydrotherapy.

Digging deeper, we’re pleased to find that they also offer various services. Some notable ones include colonic hydrotherapy and coffee enemas, which are done to improve digestive health, bloating, and overall wellness.

Upon visiting them, we were impressed by the cleanliness and upkeep of their facilities. Everything was spotless and well-maintained, which made for a more comfortable experience.

The staff stood out as friendly and accommodating, always ready to assist with any inquiries we had, making the entire process seamless and reassuring.

We were pleasantly surprised by their pricing too—the initial consultation and treatment session come in at £60, with flexible follow-up options available.

Another thing that we liked about them is that they have flexible opening hours throughout the week and on Saturdays—a plus for accessibility!

Adding to that is their online booking option, which made it so easy to schedule treatments and consultations.

What we’re a bit iffy about, though, is their location. Although they’re accessible to public transport and tram stops, they’re still a tad far from the city centre.

      Pros

      • Highly rated, experienced staff
      • Flexible booking options and late hours
      • Variety of packages catering to individual needs
      • Reasonable rates

      Cons

      • Outside the city centre
      • Records of unresponsiveness via phone call

I highly, highly recommend Mi Veda

“My recent hydrotherapy sessions with Ruth were nothing short of ethereal.

The experience was a true sanctuary, leaving me feeling both relaxed and rejuvenated.

I highly, highly recommend Mi Veda for anyone looking for a soothing and therapeutic treatment.”

        Thande Muite, Google Review

Highly recommend this completely painless treatment

“I have recently had 2 sessions of colonic hydrotherapy with Lisa, I couldn’t have felt more comfortable during these sessions. Her knowledge is second to none. This is something I wanted to try for a while now and I am so glad I went for it and will continue to do so regularly for maintenance.

Highly, highly recommend this completely painless treatment. I cannot thank Lisa enough for everything she has helped me to understand regarding gut health!”

From what we’ve seen Exhale Therapy is all about chill vibes with its self-administered colonic hydrotherapy using the LIBBE Ultra Cleanse System. For us, this means they get top marks for having clean and comfy facilities.

We liked that the spa has a peaceful atmosphere, friendly staff, and a variety of wellness treatments like facials and Hammam baths that make it a great spot to unwind.

Its main focus is colonic hydrotherapy, so if that’s what you’re after, you’re in the right place!

Sessions are priced at £70, which is pretty reasonable for Manchester, but still a tad higher compared to others.

On the plus side, they occasionally have discounts and deals available through booking sites, though you might have to do a bit of digging to find them.

Just a heads-up: if you’re looking for a clinical approach, this place leans more towards the spa and relaxation side. It’s not exactly a downside, but it might not be for those wanting a more medical experience.

        Pros

        • Relaxing spa environment
        • Highly rated by clients
        • Close to public transport

        Cons

        • No variety of services for colonic therapy
        • Service levels may vary

The staff were friendly and professional

“The staff were friendly and professional. The building is slightly on the smaller side, but every effort has been made to make the most of this space. The prices were reasonable and in line with what I would expect.”

          Tom McNamara, Google Review

          It was a true indulgence

“I was booked in for a treatment as a birthday gift and it was a true indulgence. Kaya, my therapist was amazing and was professional but friendly. I will be going back for a lot more”

For those who are after affordable colonic hydrotherapy with a bit of spa luxury, Kelly Hanson Colonic Hydrotherapy & Massage could be a great pick.

It’s a bit of a drive from the city centre, but that might be perfect for those who are on the hunt for a peaceful, out-of-the-way location.

When we checked them out, we immediately liked how the staff were friendly and skilled. Our colleague who went through the treatment appreciated how she felt so comfortable, all her fears disappeared!

Their colonic hydrotherapy starts at £75 for an hour of treatment, which is slightly higher compared to others in the same area in our opinion.

However, we’re still positive about them because of their add-ons. Customers can enhance their treatment with a chosen infusion (herbs, coffee, or wheatgrass) for an additional £10, or opt for a probiotic implant for £25.

Overall, we still think they’re a great option for high-quality treatments to get the most out of your quid!

          Pros

          • Affordable treatment prices
          • Offers spa services
          • Excellent service levels

          Cons

          • Far from the city centre
          • Pricier rates

Amazing at all her treatment offerings

“I have been going to Kelly for nearly 3 years and she is exceptional on every level, professional, friendly, exceptionally knowledgeable and amazing at all her treatment offerings. She really has helped me on my health journey and I am happy to recommend her to anyone, you won’t look back.”

            Fiona Hall, Google Review

Amazing place and amazing therapist Kelly

“Amazing place and amazing therapist Kelly, I have IBS and was really struggling. I felt bloated all the time and sluggish and my friend said go for a colonic. I live in Stoke but googled and Kelly came up so booked can’t lie was petrified!

But from the moment I arrived I was made to feel like I was a Millionaire (I’m so not) Kelly was so calming and reassuring which I needed as it was not really a relaxing procedure like a massage! She listened to my problems advised me what to change and recommended some herbal pills which I can honestly say have changed my life

I’m so impressed I then booked my daughter in law In who suffers with bloating and other issues she again is amazed by how wonderful this place is my husband also had a massage which his words were was amazing I need to go monthly so Thankyou Kelly for being amazing and we will all be back very soon. X”
