Pros
- Has a strategic location
- Caters to different types of students
- Offers online classes
Cons
- Area may have heavy traffic during peak hours
Pilates Manchester is one of the most popular studios for such a workout in the area, and we think that is for a good reason. Notably, they are situated in an accessible location at Cadman House on Wharf Road.
All clients need to do is take the train to the Sale Station and they will be three minutes away from the establishment on foot. For us, you can consider the short walk as a nice warm-up before you begin your pilates session.
As for those who wish to bring their own vehicle, you will have no issues with parking as there is enough for all customers. Just keep in mind that the traffic can be heavy around the area during peak hours.
If this is a concern, there are also online class options — which is great if you ask us. They even have online class packages that you can choose from.
One of which is called the Seven Day ‘Be Your own Goddess Programme’ for £19.99. We appreciate that this aims to use movement as a tool to improve mind and body confidence
When we reviewed the range of their services, we were impressed to learn that they cater to different types of pilates enthusiasts. Here, they teach beginners and they also help those who want to train to become instructors.

Pros
- Offers both pilates classes and traditional gym equipment
- Has an affordable membership fee
- Has friendly coaches and trainers
Cons
- Does not have a readily available schedule of classes
Rise Fitness Macclesfield stood out to us because it can introduce pilates to a customer’s workout routine while still offering traditional workout equipment.
Aside from having pilates instructors, they also have a standard gym that their members can enjoy. There are treadmills and weights that you can use in between classes.
We also discovered that this is one of the most affordable options for those who want to pursue pilates since the first-month membership is only £10. After that, the rate goes up to £24 — which is still a reasonable price if you ask us.
There are also “no contract” memberships available. Therefore, it would be easy for clients to cut ties if they decide that they no longer want to be a member for any reason.
However, when we talked to their regulars, a lot of them mentioned that they do not want to leave this gym. This is mostly because of their approachable coaches and instructors.
Furthermore, we like how their customer service is also on point here. There is always someone to answer the phone and their front desk is always manned.
The only thing we were iffy about is that they do not have a timetable for their classes readily available. With this, it may be more difficult to find slots that would work around your life schedule.

Pros
- Versatile in meeting students
- Offers online classes
- Offers body alignment classes
Cons
- Has clothing requirements during sessions
What made EnergyFlowFitness special is their versatility in meeting their clients. For those who do not have a lot of time for pilates, but would still want to try it — this is a good place to get started.
An aspect we like most about them is their accessible location, where they are only four minutes away from the Chorlton Bus Station. For us, this is a major advantage for those who do not want to commute for a long time.
As for those who do not wish to commute at all, their online classes are also reliable.
This option boomed during the pandemic when people were confined in their homes. But even when the restrictions have been lighter, we noticed that this option remains to be a popular service.
We believe that this is because their instructors are lively and energetic. Their enthusiasm can transcend through the screen which makes each session productive, as shared by a student.
Additionally, we like that they offer Postural Alignment Classes. We learned that this can be taken along with pilates to improve your body’s alignment.
Aside from this, they are also very affordable. We were surprised that they only charge around £10 for each session.
The only downside is that they have a clothing requirement. During sessions, students are not allowed to wear hoodies.

Pros
- Fun and considerate instructors
- Has a real-time calendar
- Has affordable package rates
Cons
- May be expensive for some
Getting started with pilates can be intimidating for some. If this is the case, then we think the instructors at Loving Pilates can help.
In a way, they live up to their name as they help their customers love the workout – and this is what we like best about them! According to their students, what sets this studio apart from others is that they have fun teachers.
Upon observing their sessions, we like how the instructors meet the pace of their clients. They understand if someone is a beginner and they will not push you too hard.
We find it commendable that they are also able to push more seasoned students to step up their workouts.
Overall, this is the place to be if you want your instructors to pay close attention to your current skill level and goals in taking pilates.
Another thing that keeps us positive is that they have a real-time calendar on their website. Here, clients can track which classes are still open or which ones are already fully-booked.
When we reviewed their classes, we were happy to see that their rates are offered in packages. Here, you will have the option to go for 3, 4, 5 or 12 sessions — when compared to other studios, this is a good deal for those who want to do pilates regularly.
On the other hand, we think that this setup can be a piece of bad news for those who only want to try one session.

Pros
- Classes are taught by physiotherapists
- Offers specialised routines
Cons
- More expensive compared to other studios
Physiolates is a great place to do pilates if you have a medical condition. We were impressed to learn that they have certified physiotherapists to ensure that the sessions are both effective and safe for the students.
Furthermore, we also like that they have one-on-one sessions, which means that you will get the attention that you need. As one customer shared, one would not feel self-conscious during pilates as no one is watching you aside from the teacher.
They are most popular with active people who experienced an injury and are on their road to recovery. However, they also have beginners and seasoned pilates enthusiasts here.
Whatever level a student may be, their instructors can easily adjust. On top of this, we like that their personalised approach also applies to the specific goal of the trainee.
For instance, they have a student who comes here before work. With this, the performed routine is meant to energise the client.
We were also surprised to learn that they even have a program for pregnant women. Here, they have a set of exercises that would benefit both pre and post-natal students.
The only downside is that such a service is significantly more expensive compared to other providers. However, we think that they are worth the investment if you are willing to spend extra.

Pros
- Proactive and progressive treatments
- Convenient booking services
- Diversely experienced expert
Cons
- Slightly limited pilate selections
Poise Reformer Pilates is a studio that provides clients with unique and holistic physiotherapy services along with clinical pilates led by Chartered Physiotherapist for proper overall treatment.
We like that they offer the clients a 1-2-1 Physio-led reformer Pilates that includes both antenatal and postnatal treatments to ensure that clients get the best holistic treatment that is both innovative and geared specifically to their needs.
Furthermore, we like that clients are offered safe and effective Pilates from a Physiotherapist with 10 years’ experience and accredited by The Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI).’
Note though that the selection of services that the studio offers caters to a much more niche market hence, it may be slightly limited to which interested clients may need to inquire further for more information on this.
Overall, with their well-connected figure in the industry, inclusive and comprehensive treatment packages, and accommodating personnel, we highly recommend them to clients in the area looking for such services near them.
