Now, usually, second-hand might as well be second to last in your list of priorities when you’re looking for your ideal ride—but that’s where Cars of Manchester shines through.

When we browsed through their available cars, we went through a range of convertibles, hatchbacks, and even SUVs, and it was a whole world of affordable but good choices. 

We also liked how the staff asked us about things like our budget, how often we’d be driving around, what we’d want the car for, and a whole lot of other questions about the details of our car hunting. 

Plus, they gave us helpful advice about making sure that no matter what car we chose, it would be smooth driving for years! Overall, all their talk about what to do and what not to do with our car choice was backed up with an inspection.

But, we do wish that their inspection was a teensy bit more thorough, since the car we chose needed a bit of a fix-up.

When we took a look around HPL Motors’ dealership, they gave us not just a wide variety of makes and models to choose from, but also a wide variety of finance plans, taking into consideration everything about our financial situation.

Furthermore, whenever they suggested a car, we felt like we weren’t ignored, and that they truly listened to us. They even pointed us in the direction of some exclusive sales and discounts, just to make sure we’d get the specific car we were looking for!

Another thing that we appreciated was the way they handled buying cars. You could not only figure out the value of your car, but also sell it to them without having to buy from them in return! A pretty good deal, if you ask us.

We just wish that they were as eager to answer questions after the purchase, as pointed out by some clients we surveyed. So if a problem pops up after you’ve bought your ride, you’d have to wait quite a bit for them to respond to your concern.

Given the pricier options they have, we hope they could improve their response time.

When we took a look at ArnoldClark’s website and dealership, the first thing we noticed was that they sold all sorts of vehicles and equipment. Cars, vans, washing equipment, parts, and anything else for your ride—you name it, they have it! 

We love that they even took the time to patiently show us around their dealership and explain the vehicles and deals. Just a heads up, though: the prices here are high. Given the high quality of vehicles they have, many clients have stated it was worth it, though. 

ArnoldClark even sells custom number plates, and every part of the process is fully valid. 

Of course, our other concern was insurance, and luckily, they have various options for different lifestyles. So even if you have a pet or a mobility aid, they’ve got the ride and the insurance plan for you!

Plus, they have vehicle aftercare too! However, many clients we surveyed commented that, while ArnoldClark takes a look at the cars purchased from them as part of the aftercare coverage, they’re slow to respond to calls regarding this.

When we read the customer reviews and looked through Williams Select’s website, we were honestly sceptical. Anyone would be, with their promises of good and cheap cars, on top of their cars being second-hand!

But we were proven wrong when we took a trip to their dealership ourselves and got a look at the cars they had in stock.  Just looking at them, you wouldn’t think that the cars they were selling were second-hand. Some even looked brand spanking new! 

Of course, looks can only bring a car so far, so we did a test drive of one of the cars and took a look at two other cars. The verdict? They keep their cars in tip-top shape! 

Plus, their cars have low mileage. They also offer a variety of payment plans and good warranty and insurance!

Our only real issue with them is that they take some time to respond, taking hours or even a day for them to get back to clients.

101 Specialist Cars stood out in our surveys because many clients praised this dealership’s no-stress process! We then booked an appointment to check out the hype, and loved how the staff were quick to respond, and they definitely knew what they were talking about! 

Any questions we had about the cars we were interested in, they answered and even helped us figure out the exact kind of car that’d be perfect for us. We also like that they have a huge range of models and makes to choose from!

Another aspect appreciated by many of their clients was how the dealership was thorough in identifying their clients’ budgets and even offering to do a part exchange. The staff also did check-up calls to see if clients were satisfied with their choice.

The downside? You’ll need an appointment to check out the available cars in their dealership; otherwise, your trip to Kingsway would be for nought. They only have second-hand cars, by the way, so you’d have to look somewhere else if you want a brand-new car!
