Yard & Coop is one of the most popular chicken restaurants in Manchester and that’s for a good reason. When we spoke to their many regulars, most of them were happy to share that the cost-to-quality ratio of the experience here is impressive.

We think the good experience at Yard & Coop starts with their welcoming atmosphere and attentive staff members. Upon receiving the order, customers will be greeted by big portions and an appetising aroma.

When it comes to their taste, there were also no complaints since they can consistently produce delicious meals.

Of course, their most popular dishes are their chicken selection. The best seller here is their OG Chicken Wings which comes in three flavours, such as buffalo and ranch, stateside BBQ, and hot honey.

However, we think that their classic tenders are also worth the try. It is made special because of their buttermilk recipe that produces crispy, crunchy, and golden chicken cuts paired with two sauces of the customer’s choice. 

We were also delighted to learn that their chicken is from a farm in Shropshire and that they have a 48-hour farm-to-fork policy.

The only downside is that the restaurant gets crowded easily since there are many fans of their food. If you are looking for a quiet and peaceful dining experience, it may be best to order food to go or have it delivered instead.

Chimaek is a unique chicken restaurant in the area because they specialise in Korean cuisine. One of the best things about them is that they have a lot of Korean nationals eating here — which means that they serve authentic and delicious dishes.

When we checked their menu, we were happy to see a wide selection of affordable chicken offerings. For as low as £‎6.90, customers can enjoy four pieces of their original chicken fillet. 

On top of this, they also have various sauces and sprinkles available here. One can choose among spicy mayo, soy and garlic, hot pepper, curry sprinkle, chilli peppers sprinkle, and many other Korean staple flavours.

Furthermore, they also have other dishes such as burgers, wraps, katsu, corn dogs, skewers, and a whole lot more. 

With this in mind, we think that they will be a great place for those who want to dine in groups. With the many options available here, we are confident that there is something for everybody.

The only downside is that we have gathered reports where the customer service in this restaurant is inconsistent. Sadly, some customers felt as if the staff members were dismissive and waited for an unnecessarily long time for their orders to arrive.

However, keep in mind that many were happy with the treatment that they received. 

As for those who were looking for an accessible chicken restaurant in the city, we believe that Bird of Prey is a strong option. It is located strategically at Charles Street, where they are accessible to both residential properties and offices.

In fact, they are only a minute’s walk away from the Oxford Road Station bus station. On top of this, they also offer a curbside pickup service, which makes it easy for customers to collect their orders without needing to park their vehicles.

Another thing that keeps us positive about this restaurant is their commendable staff members. When we interviewed their regular customers, we receive nothing but positive feedback that the employees here are welcoming and attentive to special requests

With this in mind, we think that they are a great place for those who like to customise their food because of food restrictions or preferences.

When we reviewed their food menu, we were delighted to see a lot of affordable options such as their £7.95 fried chicken sandwich called The Tribute.

We have also learned that this is a bestseller and it comes with a delicious combination of garlic mayo, pickles, and lettuce. There is also an option to add a special cheese sauce for only £1.

We were just a bit iffy when we discovered that there are a lot of reports where they were inconsistent with the quality of their food.

Other than that we think that this is a delicious and cost-efficient chicken restaurant.

Dixy Chicken is a beloved chain of chicken restaurants in the UK. In fact, in Manchester alone, there are over 10 branches that are ready to satisfy customers who are craving fried chicken.

In this review, we are going to focus on the one at Wilmslow Road since this is the one with the most foot traffic. 

We believe that this is the case because of the strategic location of this branch. It is only 2 minutes away by foot from the St Mary’s bus stop, making it accessible for customers who will use public transportation.

Furthermore, the traffic in the area is also manageable and there are a lot of parking spots for those who would bring their private vehicle.

Aside from their accessibility, their food is also top-notch. According to their regular customers, the chicken here is fresh, tender,  and crispy on the outside.

A full meal here would cost between £1 to £10, making it one of the most cost-effective options in the area.

The only downside is that we have received several reports where the customers received the wrong side dish for their order. Luckily, the team is quick to respond every time and would replace the wrong side right away.

Dallas Chicken & Pizza is another popular chain of restaurants that has a branch in Manchester. What makes them stand out from the rest is their wide range of food selection that goes beyond chickens.

Here they also have pizza, burgers, ribs, and sides. But of course, their most in-demand offering is from their extensive chicken menu.

Here customers will have an option among fried chicken, chicken wings, and chicken nuggets. They even have chicken fillet burgers that come with special sauces and toppings

Another commendable thing about them is their fast customer service. Regular diners happily shared with us that they receive their orders in as short as five minutes — perfect for hungry customers who don’t have the patience to wait long for their food.

We also give them plus points for their clean environment and welcoming staff members. 

On top of this, they are also conveniently located as they stand right next to the bus station at Shudehill. 

Just keep in mind that we have received feedback from customers that their food portions here are smaller compared to other restaurants in the area. With this, it may be best to order more food if you want to have a heavy meal.
