What we like most about Alterations Boutique Manchester is the wide selection of alteration services offered. 

With their services, clients can get their clothes hemmed, resized, repaired or even restyled. They can even work with more delicate materials like silk! Plus, they even offer clients free consultations and fittings.

Overall, we appreciate the skill and care put into their work. We were even more impressed when we learned that their previous clients talked about quick turnaround times with beautiful results. They can even do same-day alterations!

That said, their services do have limits. They can’t change adjustments on a whim, since they follow what’s specified in a client’s order form. Additionally, they strictly tailor clothes and don’t clean them.

We’re also a bit iffy on the prices for their services, which tend to be on the higher end. We have to hand it to them, though, as their work tends to be high quality—we’d say it’s a fair exchange!

“Nadia is a tour de force. I had originally booked a shearling jacket alteration the day before over the phone with the tailor who accommodates same-day alterations. However, I arrived at the boutique only to learn that he was indisposed and was temporarily substituted with Nadia, who already was backlogged with all of her usual work and had to take on his work as well. With great professionalism and kindness, she worked tirelessly from that morning until the evening to make the alterations, and I couldn’t be happier with the results! Fairy Night Fashion can take ready-made clothes and put new life into them with their years of expertise! 

Whether it’s replacing zippers, repairing pockets, or altering the lengths of clothes, they can do it cleanly and efficiently. They even clean and iron the clothes for a nice and tidy look after their work’s done!

A huge plus in our books is their quick turnaround time. For instance, a lot of their previous customers gave glowing reviews about their smooth and speedy work.

Another thing we appreciated was how their repairs and alterations still looked like part of the garment. So, we can say that the clothes they’ve worked with look good as new!

On the downside, it’s worth noting that they have a rather limited set of services and garments they can work with. Most of us think that it would be better to have more specialised or specific repairs or alterations from their services. But overall, they can do a decent job.

Looking for a more affordable option? Smart City Tailors might just be the one, with their budget-friendly services that do not sacrifice quality!

Their detailed list of alterations takes into account every length and width of their clients’ measurements! So, they can make clothes fit better even in more specific areas, such as the waist or shoulders.

We also appreciate that they have cleaning services. Conveniently, customers can get their clothes ironed or steamed to get them looking spic and span after alteration!

We’re just a bit iffy about their turnaround time and customer service. They don’t always make good on their promised turnaround time, and they’re unclear about telling this to customers. 

Furthermore, based on our customer surveys, the staff can be dismissive or disorganised when communicating with customers in general.

Overall, they’re best for those on a budget and have specific needs but aren’t in a hurry to get their clothes altered.

If there’s one thing that we appreciate about Carol’s Alterations, it’s the diverse range of services they offer.

Customers could get their hems or zippers repaired, their buttons replaced, and even their clothes resized! There were also services for altering the tapering and for shortening or lengthening clothes. 

What impressed us further was that they could even seamlessly attach sleeves to dresses, and their turnaround times were fairly quick. We also appreciate that there’s a changing room in their shop. 

We’re just iffy about the way they deal with customers, since some folks we spoke with mentioned that the staff is prone to miscommunication. 

We’d also have to agree that it’s a bit disappointing that they can only work with a limited number of garment types. 

Overall, even with those limitations, it’s a good alteration shop for those in need of affordable and good-quality alterations.

What we like about James Personal Tailor & Son is how their services offer a lot to customers. They can do all kinds of alterations, from simple hemming and relining to adjusting excess fabrics and even seamlessly lengthening sleeves and trousers.

Overall, we really appreciated that they knew their way around fabrics and tailoring. And if previous customer reviews are anything to go by, they’re no slouches either when working with more intricate designs or details.

We also appreciate that securing their services was an easy process, since they’re responsive to emails and calls.

Unfortunately, while their services are good, that does mean that they’re on the pricier end. It also means that their turnaround times are usually quite long, which can be annoying to deal with. 

Another issue we have with their services is that they occasionally do rushed jobs on extra busy days, which is a bummer since they usually have high-quality work.
