Moreover, we love that they are qualified on a decent number of industry and safety standards, including an enhanced BDS check (meaning their lot has a more than squeaky clean criminal record).

With 20 years’ experience in its helm, it’s easy to see the reason for the continued trust. For one, its websites (though we don’t really see the use for multiple ones) are the most informational ones we’ve seen yet, giving sound advice for DIY troubleshooters.

Moreover, Quick Drains also publicises a clear ballpark figure on the cost of its services. For example, a CCTV drain survey here starts at £180—a ‘quick look’ (sans written report) starts at £90.

That said, Quick Drains’ performance isn’t all perfect; no one is, really. Its clients have occasionally reported a rather slow service and subpar communication about the work to be done, as well as about the pricing.

Jet Clear impresses first in its coverage area. It caters 24/7 to pretty much every part of the northwest, even extending towards the east midlands (Derbyshire) and the northern part of the UK (West Yorkshire)—that’s range!

Second is the company’s reputation, which is definitely one for the books, with many praising the great quality of service and fair pricing. Despite lots of glowing, believable sentiments about it, a few more critical reviews won’t hurt for a more realistic view of things.

Lastly, we are in awe of how the current Jet Clear’s business side is. It accepts all forms of payment, including Visa, MasterCard, and even Apple Pay.

WMD should be on your radar, especially if you live near Stockport. This Cheadle local plumbing service provider has over 10 years of good business under its belt.

Although it specialises in replacing outdated (and dare we say dangerous) lead piping, it also does drain surveys and repairs. Since WMD is an authorised contractor by leading water companies like United Utilities, we’re certain that this team are proper tradespeople.

Many have praised WMD’s work as timely and professional. Like its other clients, we also appreciate how wonderful even simply getting a quote on a CCTV drain survey by chatting to these guys over the phone can be.

However, not all days are a bliss, and there are certainly moments when there have been occasional lapses in timeliness. Some even reported having their scheduled visits seemingly forgotten—maybe a simple admin mix-up, but defo not WMD’s norm.
