When it comes to qualifications, Brian Connor of the House of Golf has nailed it to a tee. He ticks the boxes by being a PGA Class AA Professional, a Level III golf coach, and a custom fitting specialist.

Furthermore, he’s the founder of the House of Golf, a pro shop located at the Manchester Golf Club. He’s got it all handled, as his shop’s equipped with Trackman technology (for data-driven analysis) and a putting lab (for stroke analysis).

As for coaching, he offers 30-minute and 60-minute golf lessons at the driving range studio and on the course. Although Connor’s availability isn’t as vast as we’d like, he has a team of PGA Professionals with more calendar slots.

The personalisation deserves a mention, where Connor will cover the basics for short and long games. The targeted approach we’ve seen has been rather helpful, to the point that bad habits are replaced with better swing and aim.

If you fancy PGA golf lessons, Chris Fletcher of Improve My Golf is a name that should be on your list. After all, he has a decade of experience teaching beginners and advanced golfers, including his fellow PGA Professionals.

Plus, he’s one of the most qualified golf coaches we’ve seen in Manchester. He’s the head golf coach, offering mainly one-on-one coaching, who has provided clear instructions that eliminate bad habits and bring in consistent progress.

His lessons are rather enjoyable. From what we’ve seen, he utilises advanced technology (like Trackman) for better data analysis of stance and swing, and that’s on top of delivering a tailored teaching style to accommodate all kinds of students.

You should know, his expertise results in slightly higher rates, with an assessment costing £60 and a 1-hour lesson priced at £90. These fees make sense, though, since Flethcher, a Senior PGA Professional, will thoroughly analyse your whole game.

Tom Fearon’s straightforward approach to golf coaching is what ultimately hooked us in. From the first swing, he has provided easy-to-follow instructions that made the whole lesson pleasant yet professional.

He’s a PGA Professional with over a decade under his belt, teaching beginner golfers and advanced players. His accessibility includes juniors and adults, both for individual and group coaching, although group lessons have limited availability.

Fearon starts with a free 15-minute game analysis, and then you can move on with a 1-hour reasonably priced introductory lesson. His strategy sure had us completely gripped because there’s a nice flow to the whole process.

For example, his relaxed teaching approach can make even the not-so-great players feel more comfortable, resulting in solid results and better game management. Even my mate, who was a complete beginner, had no trouble following instructions.

But his golf lessons aren’t exactly a bargain, costing £75 per hour. Then again, he’s an investment for serious golfers due to his quality of teaching.

Ben McKaigg is a PGA Professional and a Leadbetter GLE certified golf coach, making him highly qualified to teach fundamentals and more. His approach includes famous golf instructor David Leadbetter’s specialised coaching techniques.

But it’s his strategy that first caught our attention, where his genuine care for every student shows. When he coached one of our team members, he communicated every technique clearly, complete with demonstrations.

Accessibility is fantastic with his online and in-person golf lessons in Manchester. Even though group coaching takes a step back, his availability remains top-notch for one-on-one short game, putting, and full swing sessions.

Everything’s personalised to each golfer too, including video analysis and Trackman 4 technology for absolutely accurate data. After all, the Trackman 4 has dual radar, delivering loads of club and data parameters.

We can confidently say that McKaigg’s pricing is fair. A 60-minute driving range studio session in Manchester costs £60, which also includes the cost of golf balls.

Headed by Rudi Ryan, RR Golf is one of the most accessible golf instructors in Manchester. He brings a people-first approach, where golf is available for everyone.

For instance, aside from the traditional demographic, he concentrates on teaching juniors, women, and individuals with disabilities. And he does it well, as he offers one-on-one coaching tailored for every group.

Moreover, his individual and group coaching enables him to provide customised support. As a handy bonus, he offers indoor and outdoor golf lessons at several locations across Manchester, although with limited availability at certain golf courses.

He remains a solid option, budget-wise, even providing free first sessions for the junior golf academy. In fact, his one-on-one golf coaching lessons range between £30 and £45, depending on the venue.

My nephew had a blast during his golf lesson, where he learned new techniques and finally found a sport he loved. Overall, we’re thrilled about Ryan’s clear instructions and fun sessions.
