Watch The Latest F1 Races in These 7 Manchester Pubs
Let me ask you this: what’s better than drinking the day away in a pub? Sharing a round of toasts with all your mates, of course!
But let me ask you another thing, what can make these toasts even better? Toasting over your favourite team winning…or maybe your favourite racer winning!
Let’s face it, tickets to F1 can be pricey, so why not settle for the next best thing? And by that, I mean a pub with good beer, good vibes, and a good telly to watch the latest F1 race!
Nothing beats seeing the whole pub cheering for each lap, betting on their favourite racer, and treating everyone to a half-pint when the crowd favourite wins! Okay, so that last one isn’t always accurate, but that doesn’t mean it’s any less fun.
So I’ve gone through some of the best pubs in Manc, looking for the best pitstops for any F1 fan who needs a good pint to go with their race watching. Join me on this quest to find pubs with that beautiful high definition quality – and I’m talking about both the telly and pub grub!

Why don’t you take a walk down to Walkabout? It’s one of the quintessential pubs for some F1 watching!
It’s got all the essentials needed for a great live viewing experience, and I’m talking massive HD screens, watch schedules for sports fans, and good cold pints. And their pub grubs are no joke either, they’re great companions for some race watching!
Word of advice? Get their pizza dough balls; they’ve got all the cheesy and pepperoni goodness of pizza all rolled up in some nicely toasted deliciousness. If you want you to feel even more pumped up with your mates, their Aussie Kiss drink is perfect for that!
Pro tip Going in a group of 10 or more? No worries! Their pre-booked buffet menu is great for getting enough bites for you and your mates – saves you the effort of making sure there’s enough for everyone! |

It’s burgers, pizzas, and high definition surround sound right here in The Crafty Pig!
That’s right, you can feel like you’re right there on the track if you choose this as your pub to watch the race! It’ll feel like you got your front row ticket to the show, but for a cheaper price. I don’t know about you, but that sounds like a sweet deal.
My favourite from their menu would have to be the cheesy and meaty comfort that is their BBQ Beef Mac. You’ll melt just like the cheese once you try the burnt edges of the beef! I loved pairing it with their Aperol Spritz since you can’t go wrong with an OG!
Pro tip Want to bring your precious pup with you? Well, you can have your little furry friend join in on the race watching – The Crafty Pig is a pet-friendly establishment! |

There’s nothing like a rousing good time and getting into the F1 spirit with the entire pub! The BOX branch in Deansgate is perfect for those who want to cheer and bet on their favourite racer with other pub patrons – it’s a semi-regular event there.
One plus for BOX Deansgate is that you don’t have to worry about getting a bad spot – there are HD tellies mounted all around the pub! So you can watch the races anywhere in the pub! Plus, if you’re in a celebratory mood, they have live music after each race.
If there’s anything I liked munching and sipping on while watching, it would have to be the Burrow’s Burger and Frat Party cocktail. The Burrow’s Burger has a nice, scrumptious bite to it, and the Frat Party is a great mix of BrewDog beer and vodka.
Pro tip Feeling extra pumped even after the race is over? You can play shuffleboard with the other patrons; it makes for a great pub night when combined with the race watching! |

Right in Yates, beer lovers can watch the latest game for any sport, and F1 racing is no exception! They’ve got multiple HD tellies and projector screens that are great for group watching. So it’s a great spot to bring your friends in if they also want to watch!
My menu recommendation from here would be the Spiced Tropical Rumbull, which offers a summery punch with every sip. It’s perfect for getting energised while watching a game!
As for the food, you mustn’t miss out on the smoky goodness that’s The BBQ Banger Pizza. You and your mates won’t regret divvying up the slices once you take a bite!
Pro tip Download the MIXR app to see the latest deals and events – they occasionally hold contests where the winner can get F1 merch as a prize! |

Wondering what to order from here? Try their Doner King Nachos, it’s a great snack to share with friends that’s overloaded with meat and sauces! You just might also enjoy the Pornstar Martini Scratch; its sweetness mixed with prosecco makes it an absolute treat.
Pro tip Weekends can be especially packed, even more so during holidays like St. Patrick’s Day. Get there as early as you can if you want to snag a spot – or if you want to avoid getting pushed out of the pub. |

Thirsting for some craft beer to enjoy while watching the latest F1 match? Then, might I direct you to Directors Box (pun definitely intended)?
You’ll feel properly pumped up with the atmosphere here! The pub’s got live sports watching, pool tables to help pass the time, and of course, HD screens to catch every moment!
Now, if there’s anything from here that I’m always thirsting for, it’d have to be a sip of that bitter yet crispy Amstel they serve. It was great downing a glass of Amstel, and also helping myself to some Fish & Chips on the side for a great beer-and-salt combo.
Pro tip Looking to dedicate a whole sports day at Directors Box? Then look through their bottomless brunch menu! They have some fantastic food on there that can fill you right up. |
Shack Bar & Grill

Looking for a more casual or relaxed vibe for your watching experience? Shack Bar & Grill could be the pub for you! It’s got colourful but soft lighting, some comfy seating, and pub games for some extra entertainment!
Play some beer pong while waiting for the race to start on the telly, or get some private seating so that you and your mates can enjoy the race you’ve been waiting for! They even have dedicated F1 screenings that you can pre-book for.
And while you’re at it, maybe get some of their Shack Fruit Cider to get a nice tap drink filled with the right kind of sweetness and tartness. Oh, and don’t miss out on their Crispy Onion Rings–they somehow make the crunch and goldness just right!
Pro tip Their F1 screenings usually start at 5 PM, so try to snag a spot before then! As another bonus, you can make the most of their happy hour before your F1 watching since it’s available between 4 and 7 PM on Mondays to Fridays. |
