Baxby Manor is a great place if you’re planning a lot more than just regular camping. If you have campervans and decide to roost in a ‘villa-type’ camping station, then this is the best place to be!
In my book, its glamping section is what makes it among the best out there! Their mini cabins exude a homey feel, and you’ll have four options to choose from, depending on the size of your group.
My favourite, though, is the ‘Hoglet House,’ which is perfect for a small family. It’s quite reminiscent of a hobbit’s house (hooray for LOTR fans!) but without the mound of grass at the top—take a look here. Best of all, it’s right near the shared toilets and baths!
Aside from Baxby Manor’s beautifully made accommodations, it has a handful creature comforts within the site: A campsite shop, tennis court, playground, communal fridge, and even a pizza shack! Perfect, eh?
Pro tip
You know what’s adorable to look at when visiting this place? Otters! That’s right, you can feed and interact with the silly little critters while official guides tour you around their nimble little homes by the ponds and mini lakes!

The Samlesbury Hall is not only a great place to go glamping—it has features that will help you better appreciate the rich culture of how the centre came to be.
Its rich natural preserve is what sets it apart, and it’ll truly make you feel like you’re in the woods without actually being there. What I mean here is this site is still a glamping hall full of wooden mini-cabins and villas and is still highly commercialised.
But out of all the glamping sites near Manchester, I believe this one is the most captivating out of all because they retained almost all junctures of the preserve to complement not only the look, but the ambience of the whole centre.
In its official website, it prides itself in his history and memorable experiences, which I definitely agree with. The houses’ designs are also old-fashioned, and it’s not a bad thing at all!
Staying to the roots of what manors of the past look like makes Samlesbury Hall a distinct Glamping site that you ought to visit from time to time.

There are a lot of cabins and courses, but Redwood also has yurts and woodland camp houses that make this more unique than the others.
You’ll find that this place has an edge in terms of organisation and safety. It’s located near the city area so you won’t really get lost when driving there. Plus, it’s highly accessible too, which is safer for travel.

Lantern & Larks – Bleasdale is a great place to glamp near Manchester because of its scenic location and comfortable accommodations.
This is a legitimate forest area that has camping houses and cabins where you can immerse yourself in the realest glamping experience there is.
It’s located near the countryside hill which is great for sun spotting. This means that you can enjoy staring at the blank sky as the sun sets and soars during dusk and dawn.
What amazes me about this place is their rustic vibes and incredibly diverse amenities as well. The convenience aspect of the whole place is what makes Lantern & Larks special despite being in a wildlife conservatory location in the UK.
Speaking of wildlife, there are bound to be a few that you can spot when exploring there. Don’t worry, there aren’t any bears or mountain lions that’ll threaten you.
