The staff at Timpson are generally polite. We recall one visit when a staff member went out of their way to help me choose the perfect strap for my watch.

However, we think that it’s worth mentioning that our surveys revealed customers feeling that the staff were occasionally dismissive, a point for them to work on.

When it comes to the quality of their work, we’re happy to say that we were satisfied! One of our team got his watch restored and we were impressed at how it looked brand new afterwards.

They are located in the city centre which makes them easily accessible. On top of this, they’re also open every day which is great news for those with busy schedules. 

Alternatively, for those who don’t have time to drop by, we appreciate that the shop also offers a free (insured up to £25,000) postage pack.

It’s expected that they charge higher compared to other repair shops in the area. However, we believe that this premium is justified as they have leading watch technicians and the finest parts in their arsenal.

Furthermore, their staff members are highly professional. According to our surveys, they consistently provide premium treatment, and one customer shared with us that they were even offered snacks and drinks while waiting for their watch.

We’re impressed that The Watch Lab boasts many branches all over the UK. Luckily, they have one right in Manchester that is conveniently accessible at Arndale Mall.

We also like that they are open every day. Furthermore, they’re open until 8:00 pm, making them one of the shops with the latest closing times in the area.

On top of this, we noted that many common repairs can be completed onsite within the hour.

As for jobs requiring a bit more time, we were pleased to find that they offer postal service. Just note that your watch needs to be under £2,500 in value to avail of this service.

The Watch Lab has over 20 years of experience and, from what we’ve seen, it shows their expertise. We once had my watch serviced there that was returned in pristine condition and well ahead of schedule.

Their customer service during our visit was also excellent. We enjoyed their friendly and accommodating staff members who assisted us with enthusiasm. 

However, our surveys revealed some complaints from other customers about rude and dismissive staff members.

On a more positive note, all their watch repairs come with a two-year warranty. Plus, they also offer a free assessment.
