Pros
- Unique service in the form of Social Darts
- Very good for big groups, in terms of activity and menu
Cons
- Room can get quite loud because of large groups
- Doesn’t really cater to those looking for a quiet night out
Flight Club Manchester is known for its Social Darts. It combines a social game with delicious food and drink to create a unique ambience.
Because of its Social Darts, Flight Club is an especially good pub to bring your friends to, especially if your group is looking for something a little different. Social Darts is £11 per person for 90 minutes.
Their darts aren’t normal darts either, they have about eight different ways to play darts, each of them unique and bound to be a laugh with good company. We love the unique social aspect that Social Darts brings to the restaurant.
We’d recommend getting their finger food with drinks for when you’re playing darts with your group. Their food is reasonably priced for its proportions, with platters specifically made for sharing with big parties.
We really appreciate how Flight Club leans into its social concept, with its menu featuring pizzas ideal for sharing. They also have a decent drink selection, with cocktails perfect for sipping while you’re playing.
One issue you might have with the ambience of the venue, however, is how loud and rowdy it can understandably get. We definitely recommend going someplace else if you want to have a quiet, relaxing night out.
Our customer surveys show people greatly enjoy the atmosphere of Flight Club, and often the complaint was that they couldn’t play the games longer.
Overall, Flight Club’s unique gimmick makes it a standout club restaurant that is perfect for a night out with your group of friends.

Pros
- Unique ambience and gimmick
- Decently priced food
Cons
- Can take a while to be served
- Ambience can be weather-dependent
Priding itself as a social spot in the heart of Spinningfields, The Lawn Club has a beautiful setup. Normally boasting a lovely outdoors setup, this winter they’ve reimagined the restaurant and bar into a winter yurt, with enclosed Pergolas and private winter domes.
Through their website, you can book any specific table from a yurt table to a private winter dome. The entire area is encased in a yurt for the duration of winter, and we love the comfortable and cosy ambience this creates.
We think the food pricing is just right for its menu, although it could use a little more variety, as it mainly consists of pizzas and side dishes. For those with special dietary needs, they do offer a few vegan and vegetarian options.
We recommend their Bottomless Brunch option where you can enjoy a main, side, and bottomless drink for £35. This is around what a usual bottomless brunch would cost, and the bottomless drinks include Prosecco, Mimosas, and select beers.
On the downside, according to our customer surveys, it can understandably take some time to get served because of the size of the venue. Furthermore, good or bad weather can also be the difference between a good ambience and mediocre ambience due to their gimmick.
Overall, we find that The Lawn Club’s unique ambience setup by its venue’s gimmick makes it an irresistible place to spend a night (or day) out.

Pros
- Very friendly staff
- Cosy ambience
Cons
- Food can be expensive for the proportions served
- Menus change according to time of day
As its name suggests, Cosy Club creates a cosy atmosphere with its decorated walls and patterned seats. This club restaurant has different menus for different times of the day, and has quite a decent spread of drinks as well.
While it lacks a clear gimmick the other restaurants on this list, we’d argue the comfy atmosphere created by the Cosy Club is its unique point. It’s the perfect place for a relaxing meal at any time of the day.
We particularly like Cosy Club for a relaxing breakfast with their breakfast menu. We recommend ordering the Classic breakfast or the Cosy eggs to get your day started.
We also recommend checking out their bar if you come later in the day as they have a good variety of drinks that are decently priced. They have a promotion called Teatime Tipple which gets you any two cocktails for £11.95.
If you have special dietary needs, they have separate menus for vegan and gluten-free meals. One meal from this menu that absolutely filled our bellies is the Aubergine Tagine.
That said, we have to acknowledge one of the downsides of the Cosy Club’s meals–they can be too expensive for the proportions served. Some meals advised for two people may not actually be enough despite the pricing.
Despite this issue, Cosy Club stands as a solid entry with its varied menus and comfortable ambience that lives up to its name.

Pros
- Extremely friendly staff
- Great entertainment and ambience
Cons
- Can get crowded
- Music can get very loud
Via is a gay-friendly bar and restaurant that features lively drag shows and DJs. It houses a unique, energetic ambience that is unparalleled.
In our experience, Via is guaranteed to give you a good time with great entertainment and excellent music. Its drag shows in particular create an ambience that can’t be replicated.
We find that Via is best enjoyed with a group of friends, as their menu also contains items made for sharing, like their reasonably priced pizza. They have a good selection of beers and wines on their menu too.
We’d recommend their Sunday Roast in particular. We were surprised to find the pork mouthwateringly juicy considering it only took 10 minutes to cook!
Via is widely praised in our customer surveys for its excellent service and their extremely friendly staff. If you aren’t sure what drinks to get, someone on the staff is sure to walk you through the menu and find the drink for you.
As for its downsides, music can get very loud and the dancefloor in particular can get a little crowded. This is to be expected for this sort of venue, so don’t expect a quiet time out in Via.
We highly recommend Via for anyone looking to immerse themselves in a high-energy, lively ambience while they’re out for the night.

Pros
- Great selection of drinks
- Great lively Cuban atmosphere and live music
Cons
- Overly strict bouncers
- Music can get a little loud if you’re seated up front
Revolución de Cuba is an interesting club restaurant that boasts an authentic Cuban atmosphere. They feature a live band and Cuban dancers alongside two separate dancefloors so you can choose your music.
The two floors for dancing feature two different types of music, one more underground, and one with more recognizable tracks mixed perfectly. Do take care though as the music can get rather loud up front.
Starting out as a rum bar, Revolución de Cuba has a large range of rum cocktails to choose from. We find Happy Hour visits are very much worth it for the variety of cocktails available.
We think their drinks also go wonderfully with their tapas, which come with vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options. Nothing like the perfect combination of food and drink to get you sinking into that unique Cuban atmosphere.
One of the issues that regrettably comes up regarding this club restaurant is the bouncers. For instance, our customer surveys have found them to be overly strict and difficult.
Overall, Revolución de Cuba’s authentic Cuban atmosphere and live music are a hard act to compare to when it comes to unique ambience.
