We love that Rainbow Restoration pretty much checks all the boxes when it comes to the fire restoration process, from hazard identification and water damage to soot and smoke cleanup and content salvage. This focuses on both immediate damage and secondary issues. 

It’s also convenient that they can handle other things like water damage, content restoration, asbestos removal, upholstery restoration and more. So, if more than the common fire damage happens, you won’t need to hire multiple contractors to work on the other issues.

Given the race against time, especially after a fire incident, we’re glad that they stay true to their 24/7 emergency availability. 

Plus, they don’t have charge call-outs, so you can get an upfront estimate without hidden charges, which is great since their rates aren’t readily available online. 

Lastly, we appreciate their thoughtfulness in recording damage and work done to make sure your insurance claims go smoothly.

Their expertise really shows when they’re called to action. They guarantee to get on-site or to you within 2 hours to reduce any further structural damage and stop soot or water from spreading.

Furthermore, they cover structural repairs, drying, contents restoration, odour removal, and leaks, among others. 

On the other hand, we did notice that if you’re hoping for something more specific or specialised, like upholstery restoration, then they might not be the best fit for you. 

The good news is that they know what they’re doing, especially with their thorough decontamination process. Their approach prevents staining or smoke odours from reappearing later, which is quite a common issue when contractors just paint over the damage.

What’s nice about Reinstate North West is that they don’t rush to get things done right away. They go through a meticulous step-by-step process of drying, decontamination, and assessing structural integrity to avoid overlooking any hidden damage. 

We like that they prioritise deep cleaning, air purification, and decontamination because skipping over these can lead to health problems and odour issues. This means you’ll be coming home into a space where it’s safe to live and breathe easy after they’re done. 

The catch? You’ll be encountering a consultation fee as soon as you have them come over. It does get refunded if you hire them, but if you’re comparing quotes or unsure, their £150 fee can be a dealbreaker. 

But hey, they have a knack for crossing out secondary damage in your list of worries. Many forget that water used to fight the fire can cause just as much damage, so it’s great that the team dries out the structure and removes excess moisture.

They aren’t called Response Bioclean for nothing, considering their thorough and safe decontamination process. We like that they carry out detailed risk assessments, COSHH evaluations, and safety checks before they start, so that they won’t work aimlessly and recklessly. 

It’s worth noting that one of the hardest things after a fire is getting rid of that smoky smell. And thanks to their thermal fogging technique, they can neutralise odours deep within surfaces and materials—it’s also safe since it uses vapour.

Speaking of safety, we have to give props to their trained and safety-certified team who know how to navigate through a site without causing any more problems, especially with toxic soot, unstable structures, or contaminated air. 

Here’s the thing, though: while they excel in decontaminating and restoration, they don’t focus on services for large-scale structural repairs like plumbing or electrical reinstatement. The next best thing they could do is refer you to trusted partners and networks.

On the contrary, you might need to pick up your phone to call in third-party support if you happen to need structural repairs or major reinstatements like wiring, plumbing, and more. 

The silver lining? Their high-end equipment and materials for cleaning and restoration are incredibly advantageous. It can effectively clean and restore surfaces, contents, and structural/finishing work.

Overall, we can’t deny that their expertise in deep cleaning and restoration is practically on par with actual structural restoration, so it doesn’t take away from their credibility, even if they don’t offer the latter.
