The University of Manchester is one of the most reputable learning institutions in the area. It is known for producing high-calibre graduates who are successful in their respective fields.

In fact, there are over 25 Nobel Prize winners among their previous and current staff members and students. This can be attributed to their advanced teaching methods and facilities,

Here, they only employ faculty members that have already proven themselves formidable in their specialization. Through their vast pool of competent instructors, they can teach a wide range of courses and subjects to their students.

As a supplement to their commendable teaching staff, they are equipped with enough facilities and equipment to make studying more accessible for students. This includes their university library.

Their library has more than four million printed books and manuscripts. On top of that, it is not only filled with publications from leading authors in various subjects, but it also has computers that students can use as an educational aid.

In fact, it is also home to 50,000 unique electronic journals and 800,000 electronic books. We are also impressed that it has access to several hundred databases.

Through all of these, we believe that you will not run out of resources to enrich your knowledge while at The University of Manchester.

The only drawback is that there have been numerous reports where the admin can be unresponsive to their students through email and calls. Therefore, it would be best to visit their office physically for any transaction.

  • Wide range of academic services

Cons

  • Expensive accommodation services for international students

If you are looking for a school that promotes sustainability, you may consider Manchester Metropolitan University. What makes them stand out to us is their initiative to encourage environmentally beneficial policies on their campus, such as recycling.

Aside from this, they are also welcoming of diversity. They have staff and students from various backgrounds, religions, gender identities, cultures, and more.

Through this, we believe that their students can pursue their education without the fear of prejudice. Aside from that, we also like that they do not take any form of discrimination lightly here, as stated in their University Equality and Diversity Policy.

According to our research, they are an established university that has been around since 1824. Therefore, we admire that they could produce competent graduates who became renowned in their field over the years.

One of their notable alumnae is Sarah Burton, who designed the wedding dress of Catherine Middleton in 2011. She has a Doctor of Arts degree from the university.

Regarding the range of their courses, we are delighted that they cover both undergraduate and postgraduate studies. Additionally, we like that they also have an apprenticeship program where can study while they work for the institution.

Lastly, they also have accommodations available for both local and international students. Unfortunately, the rates for international students can be expensive and go as high as £7,938.

  • Wide range of courses
  • Affiliated with prestigious universities

Cons

  • Some classes can be crowded

Loreto College stands out because its teaching methods are rooted in the Roman Catholic faith. With this, we believe that students seeking institutions that can offer opportunities for spiritual growth will fit nicely here.

They also have various courses, including programs under A Levels in multiple subjects such as 3D Design, Accounting, Fine Arts, and more.

Aside from that, we also like vocational courses specializing in applied business, health, sports, tourism, and many other fields. With these options, students can find the right program for their talents and interests.

Most of their students use the knowledge acquired here as leverage to enter prestigious universities afterward. In fact, they have an in-house team of specialist teachers with years of experience assisting students in this area.

Additionally, representative universities such as Oxford and Cambridge regularly visit Loreto College to provide application seminars. According to our research, this is a proven method, as students from this campus are twice likely to be accepted.

Alternatively, some students immediately seek employment after studying here. According to them, the credentials that they have earned also helped them in landing stable jobs and attractive wages.

Unfortunately, because of their excellent track record, there can be a lot of interested applicants. This can sometimes lead to crowding in certain classes, which can negatively affect the quality of education.

On top of that, we also like that they have vocational, certificate, graduate, or post-graduate courses. This also gives students flexibility in choosing the right program for them regarding tuition fees, course length, curriculum, and other factors.

We commend that there is diversity on the campus. In fact, over 30 nationalities are represented in the student body. Although, this didn’t surprise us since they have accommodations for both local and international students.

There are a total of four households on the campus where the students can stay enrolled in the college. According to the students, the dorms here are clean and comfortable – which we commend Nazarene Theological College for.
